Ive never enjoyed beating a team as much as beating FC Antrim tonght.
Scored 3 cracking goals , 2 of them in fact were absolute screamers from Rab Caughey and Sam McCullough.
Ive never heard as much slabbering from a team, that questioned every decision and threatened as many players in my life. Same amount of abuse came from their touchline. Shocking. Anyway we played really well against them, didnt get bullied around, gave them no goalscoring oppurtunities at all and deserved the 3 points.
Just a quick note to say we actually got a good ref tonight. Big Hook ref'd it and took some abuse form them boys, some even threatened him too. Lucky is wasnt many other refs in the league who would have folded under the pressure, but it was water off a ducks back to him. We give ref's some abuse on these forumns, so its only right we praise them when they do a good job.

We had the same problems with FC Antrim when we played them Mitty, nothing but abuse the whole match and threats, and from their line... Disgrace
Great result for you lot all the same.

Pretty much par for the course when you play them. You just have to rise above it, play your own game and dont get involved. Im sure you boys done all of that tonight. Fantastic result for youse.... and us  |

I couldnt believe some of the stuff their players were coming out with tonight! To be fair it was only about 4 or 5 of their players doing the slabbering, but it seemed like their whole line (Which was about 20 or so) just wanted to give abuse to us and the ref the whole game. Honestly some of the stuff they said to Hook was unbeliveable! I dont mind taking abuse, in fact I quite enjoy having a wee slabber or two back and having a bit of banter, but when its threats its goes a wee bit OTT.

aye they lost the plot in 2nd half. We were already 2 up and they just couldnt get started. Sending offs I think were just constant abuse to the ref (although couple bookings for bad tackles too) To be fair it wasnt just 'agh wise up ref' I can quote one was ' Ill break yer f**king nose ref'!

I was missing for Saturday Mitts, just a mention. ;D Would also like to mention, i have the swollen ear as proof of the FC Antrim No. 5's swings for me (when my back was turned no less). Not that it was painful or anything but had we not cared about bleaching these boys tonight, i would have taken more than a red card for jumping on the pr**k's f***ing ugly pikey grid all b**tard day. So if he's reading this, i'll repeat myself 'cause i don't think he heard me earlier. 3 - Nil ya pr**k, 3 f***ing Nil!!! |

FC Antrim are without doubt the most unpleasant team in the league.
They just abuse referees and opposition players constantly.
Whenever they realised they were in a game in Clough they just started the kicking and slabbering and to add, even fell out among themselves.
Just wish we could could have done what Michelin have. Excellent result and I hope FC Antrim don't pick up another point this season.

Excellent result indeed lads. Keeps you nicely in the hunt for a play off place. Also makes Abbeyview more of a favourite for the league.
We had wah doing ref for us when we beat them. It makes a big difference to have a good ref who is not intimadated.

We had wah doing ref for us when we beat them. It makes a big difference to have a good ref who is not intimadated. Was up at that game Weeman, and defintley a strong ref was needed for that game too. Wah was getting dogs abuse from them boys. To be honest it was the exact same kind of game last night as when you played them, we controlled the game and they just started losing the plot, slabbering, hitting bad tackles, basically blaming everyone for them being sh!te! We play Ballykeel, Connor, Steadfast and Braid in last 4 games, so 3 wins should put us into the lottery of the play offs. |

I don't think you'll find Michelin taking anything for granted. As we learned last season with the mid-week games (much to our frustration), anything can and does happen.

One thing i hope remains constant for the remainder of the season is that FC Antrim are pumped every game. ;D |
