are you sure back 4, youse boys have 5 away games left, cloughmills, clough rangers, steadfast, galgorm and braid. But your right about one thing, 8 home games could make all the difference come the end of the season. In my opinion its down to a three horse race, the Keel, the Reds and Galgorm and i can see it going down to the wire.

Doc after are next 3 games we have 2 away and 7 home. We would not be in the same league as the Keel Rdale or Galgorm so the best we are hoping for is the playoffs.

31th August was the last time we played Galgorm and won the game 1 0 . Galgorm have got a lot stronger since then!! where as the Reds on my opinion are weaker but will be trying hard to get to them highs once again . The weather forecast for the week is good so roll on Sat morning and need I say'' Come on the Reds!!

This had the makings of being one of our hardest games this season. The first 15 minutes of the game was very scrappy as seems to be the way most games start, Galgorm took the lead about 25 minutes into the game and in fairness to them they deserve it. Their number 9 was causing us a lot of problems down the right side young David Mc Cracken certainly had his hands full and found it hard going. But the Reds weathered the storm and about eight minutes before half time Michael Mc Kendry sent Peter the great Hurrell threw and he stuck the ball in the net Willy Mc Kittrick had a great free kick thundered of the post the Reds ended the half well on top. Half time 1-1 The second half saw nearly 75% of the game dominated by the Reds. Peter Hurrell, John Kitson and Michael Mc Nally all going close but with about 10 minutes to go Galgorm had a great chance with Davy Reid making a fantastic save, but when you dominate a half the way the Reds did this is always likely to happen. Right at the end Micky Mc Kendry headed over the keeper into the nett and the ref gave the goal, the Reds players were celebrating off the pitch and turned around to see the ref had changed his mind it certainly did not go down well but thats the Saturday Morning League for you!! This was a very good game of football played on the day by two good sides it was very pleasing to myself to see a Reds side capture some of its early season form. A lot of credit must go to the Legend and the players.A special mention must go to young 16 year old David McCracken after a tough 20 min he got himself sorted out and run to near exhaustion for the Reds you could see what it meant to him to get playing for the Reds.I saw him at the OC youth club about a year and a half a go and told him to come down getting better ever match . The whole league seems to be wide open with Ballykeel getting beat by Riverdale and to me Riverdale are the best side we have played this year.So roll on are next 3 fixtures and did I say :Come on the Reds!! The Randalstown F.C team today.
1. Davy Reid 2. Micky Mc Nally 3. Steven Dripps 4. David Waddell 5. Willy Mc Kittrick * 6. David Mc Cracken 7. Barry Mott 8. Chris Perry 9. Micky Mc Kendry 10. John Kitson 11. Peter Hurrell
Subs: Andy Hart Brian Rainey Dennis Quigly
My man of the match marked *
