Good luck tonight lads in what should be a really entertaining derby game
Hopefully it will be played in the right spirit with some good football on show
No doubt there will be a large and boisterous crowd down at the River Plate to see this one
A win tonight for the Reds should see youse into the 1st Div for the first time in their history so a chance to make a name for yourselves
think it will be a tight game with both sides more than up for it but hopefully it will be 3 more points in the bag
and what a great sunny evening for the big one !
All the best !

Finished 0-0. Dont think the game was much of a spectacle but we dug in and didnt concede. Didnt help that big Mac was injured and Stevie Hamilton went off early injured either. Good game anyway lads and all the best next season in the first. Youse have a few very good players - Though yer man Peter was ur best player closely followed by Willie? at the back. Micheal Jacksons pet monkey had a good game also.

Randalstown F.C 0 - 0 Randalstown Athletic A real tough match for both teams tonight. I think its save to say that every player out there tonight were 100% committed to win the game. Think the Reds had the better of the chances and put Athletic under a lot of pressure in the last 15 minutes but we had a couple of half chances maybe could have sneaked it. We lost our top goal scorer after 20 minutes due to injury and lost our other forward again down to injury 10 minutes in the second half. With Mac out injured for the match, we could have been more of a handfull if this hadnt happened. But thats the way it goes sometimes. Thought Willie McKitterick was man of the match, a very very good player Really disappointed with Stevie Dripps...... a real nice lad and was shocked at him starting a fight. However think Connor get a couple of digs on him before I broke it up. Other than that the game was played hard but generally fair. As the saying goes the league table does not lie so well done to the Reds for a very good season. To be a little critical, I think you will need some signings to stay in the first, hope all your wishes come true

Was absolutely gutted to have to come off tonight, was lookin forward to it for ages! My knee is f**ked! gonna be out for a while, Mickey McKendry said he saw me come out and back in, think if myself and big mac were on the pitch to the end we would of got a result, but cest la vie! well done to the reds, all the best for next season its a big step up, hope to play you's in the carlsberg cup!

was watching the game last night and the reds deserved to win the game. if i remember correctly they hit the post and had one cleared of the line. i cant remeber athletic having any chances but i just want to say it will be pleasing to see the reds in the first next year cause with that team they are going to get whacked every game and come straight back down. simply not good enough and it shows the standard between firat and second is light years apart. athletci with their team will not be a force next year and will be lucky if they stay up

Watched a bit of this myself and have to say it was one of the most boring matches I have watched in a long time (i didn't stay long enough to see the fight that was mentioned above ;D). The Reds had most of the pressure but Athletic played the well know formation of 6-2-2 ;D but it seemed to work for them. I can't remember any clear cut chances from either team but a draw seemed a fair result.
Congrats to the reds on their promotion and good luck to them in the first next year.

Good battle last night with both defences well on top, Reds had the more chances and i wish you's all the best on your promotion, good luck and well done.

wasn't a great game but both teams battled well and were committed.
wasnt as passionate as i thought it would be in front a large crowd at the River Plate but i think the Reds missed Weedo last night to get them going a bit more
Thought the reds had alot more of the possession but without any real clear cut chances due to the formation and defending by Athletic
as it happens a point in the derby was good enough for the Reds to see them into the first and still have a 2nd chance to win the league
thought Ady, aka Mr Jingles, had a good game at sweeper using all that experience of his to organize the Athletic defence - no doubt he'll be feeling the effects 2day

Both teams last night looked a little nervous ,perhaps not surprising on a very hard bumpy pitch and with what was at stake, thought the Reds just shaded it on chances but overall I think a draw was fair enough result, both teams I felt on the night maybe lacked a we bit of belief but were both well organized with both defences certainly coming out on top ,good to see two old boys in Ace and McKit playing so well for their respective teams both who I might add played most of their careers with the Sky Blues at the other end of the park ,but when you've the quality these to had they could play anywhere , This is the first time Ive seen Athletic since early season ,so twice is not enough to make judgments on them but the way Bremner has them organized and the progress they have made since early season I think they will hold there own with anyone in the 2nd division next year or maybe they can still make the playoff this year yet, anyway good luck to yous The Reds have had a fantastic season and have worked hard and deserved their success and have a lot of good committed young players as well as a old head like McKittrick in there and the most important thing is they will improve,so good luck to yous also.
