Lots of people have slated this league over the years, which made me wonder how many players played in this league and went on to play in the English Divisions or even international.
Two players come to mind
Stephen Penny - Demense (I think) - Brighton
Wes Lamont - Carniny - Northern Ireland
Two players that came the other way were
Fergie McKelvy - Wolves - FC Enkalon
Tom Sloan - Man U - (Cant remember which BSML team)
Do you know any more

Bremner your right just takes me back to what I was saying a few months ago on a post (can't mind which one) this league has done a lot for one's round the town, antrim & larne even Armoy for fuks sake there have been some great players that have played in the BSML it's just unfortunate that it dose'nt get the recodnition that it should deserve from the local press etc. Stephen Penny - should be a local legend but what does he get from the town - f**k all sorry to much drink in me if his doesn't make sence  Norn Iron ;D |

Tom Sloan - Man U - (Cant remember which BSML team) Played for Raglan Homers (or Harryville Homers as it is now known) Wondered did Nigel Worthington not play for anybody in the Saturday Morning League or Colin Murdock. I know Colin was at Man U Scum from the age of about 13 but he did play for Linfield Reserves and Youth Team on & off. He's bound to have played for a BSML Team. |

You are correct two left, Michael O'Neil played for Chimney Corner Colts.

Cant remember if michael o,neil played sat morning league. but i played under 11 and 12 with him at atar united even then i knew he would go further.
