Both sides were up for this 'derby', but the home side started the better and took an early lead, cashing in on an underhit backpass. Woodside threatened to score a second but were denied by some good goalkeeping, whilst at the other end the home defence were making sure the keeper had no saves to make. The second half followed the same pattern although Wakehurst were forcing a few corners and dangerous free kicks. It was from a corner that the equaliser came midway through the half, and then both teams pushed for the win. Woodside created the better chances but a combination of the woodwork and some last ditch defending earned the away side a point.
