Carniny 7 - 0 Waveney
Terrible defeat for the Waveney. Not much else can be said, Carniny played extremely well and maybe deserved to win by a few more.
Hopefully Waveney can get rut of this rut and start getting a few better results!

unfortunately i dont see how you can pelefromthewave, you's need a few more decent players in, the squad you had last year just about scraped through the second division, and this year you havent really added to it, and as you are now aware it is a big step up from the second to the first, but hopefully you's can bring in a few players who can help turn things around for you's. good luck.

I have to disagree....I think we have got the ability and potential in the team at the minute to get ourselves out of this rut, and hopefully start getting a few results. I do see whaere your coming from, and the addition of a few players would be beneficial to our team, but we do have some quality players who have not shown their full potential yet! As usual, gotta keep pluggin away!!

I think the point that bfp was trying to make is that maybe if your current squad had walked the second then maybe they would have found the step up a league a bit easier to adjust to. Unfortunatley they just about got through the second which shows that they found the second a hard enough task on it's own. this would suggest that, if you want to remain a first division club, you would have to add to the squad to ensure that the step up wasn't a total disaster, Is that the long and the short of it bfp? ? lol...

You got all that from what bfp said! Man you must be bored! lol! I do understand what you guys are saying. Adding to ANY squad is always good, and as i said, it would benefit our team at the minute. I have to admit, there is a definite jump of levels from the 2nd and the 1st, but in my opinion, it is not beyond our reach, nor beyond our potential! C'mon the Waveney!

doesnt seem to be much heart in the team anymore. think mayb the waveney now realise how big a loss young lemon is. shawsy, ernie, hef, skiddy all big losses too. no one really to step into there shoes.

There will always be heart in the Waveney team as long as big Cecil is there! Young Lemon was a big loss to the Waveney, along with Heff at the time. We do lack something at the minute, but we always knew that it was going to be tough and I dont think we can be expected to beat the likes of Penarol, Carniny or Holywell in our first few weeks in this Division.
There are plenty of players to step into those players shoes: Example : Shawsy = Paul Craig, super wee player with a cracking left foot who has been plagued with injuries for the past while, but hopefully will be fully fit asap!
Hopefully Waveney will be able to get out of this bad patch and get a few results under their belt!

Your right there Gareth, big Cecil always keep the spirit in the team and there is no better manager to get 110% out of you!! Lethal coach so he is someone you can learn a hell of a lof off!!
As for Paul Craig mate, he is always going to be injured was the same when i had him playing for Carniny U-17's mate he play about 5 games then injured for 3 or 4 just the way it has worked out for him, which is sad to see as like you said he has one of the best left foots you are likely to see and a smashing first touch!!
Personally i feel that another good experiecned striker mate may be in order just to keep it going for the Waveney, but with big Bear back results will start changing for the Waveney as big Cecil will make sure of that!!

have to agree cecil a great coach and motivator but just think team lacks that wee bit of experience. big bear has alot of experience but the waveney could do with one or two more like him. maybe i am wrong to say no heart in the team but i believe that a few in the camp just arent doing what cecil is telling or asking them to do. hard to beat, when you have a few old experience heads on the feild to bring the not so experienced players on with there game. cecil cant do this from the line. you need two or three vocal experienced players on the feild to do this.

I can see where your coming from, and we do have Ernie and Big Mel to call on, unfortunately Mel is injured and Erny is only playing the odd game.
I think a few of the other boys have good experienced heads on them, and hopefully we can use this to get a few more points on the board!!!
