Another good result for the Waveney!
After a bad first 20 mins from the Waveney, Shore grabbed an impressive goal, coming from their midfield, who broke through and gave a sublime pass to their centre forward who put Shore up 1 - 0.
This seemed to spur the Waveney on. Paul Heffron in the Middle of the Park worked hard and won a lot of balls against the Shore midfielders, as did Erny Corry. Craig Logan slotted into the right wing and had 2 very good chances about 10 minutes from Half time.
End First Half : Shore 1 - Waveney 0
Waveney came out in the second half with a new spirit, and pressed for an early goal. Their persistence paid off when McFadden got the ball on the right hand side, cut in past his player and finished off nicely. 1-1.
Again, Waveney started to push to get the upper hand, and with some decent football from both sides, it looked like this game may end in a draw, until Alan Shaw picked up the ball on the left hand side, about 30 yards out and curled it into the top right hand corner. 2-1.
Waveney still pushed for more goals, and even though Shore were also pushing for the equaliser, Waveney got their third when a corner was cleared by a Shore defender, which dropped to big Shane Neeson, who struck from 20 yards to put Waveney in the driving seat!
Although, Shore came back within 10 minutes and scored a cracking goal from their forward, who beat 3 players, went out the right hand side and fired home. 3-2.
Waveney again started pressurising, and after another corner, Shane Neeson found himself in the right place to fire home for the Waveney. 4-2.
A good game, fair play to Shore who never gave up the whole game, and who trusted our Ref to referee the game.
