I have to congratulate you guys. You turned in a good performance on Saturday. You's fully deserved the points. We didn't play at all except for the last 10 mins to be honest. That performance could well be the worst I've ever seen from us alongside last season's game against you up there.
I have to say that the guy who reffed did a great job handling the game. Both teams behaved themselves really well and I don't remember one dirty tackle or bust up during the match. Even when were getting hammered we kept the heads.

Ha ha I know that sounds weird. All I can say is that our 4 worst games of football have been played at Antiville and Waveney in our games against Glenarm in the past 2 seasons. Also to add irony, in both seasons these games have come back to back.
We found it easier playing the teams that got promoted Seven Towers and Ballykeel than playing against you guys and Glenarm away from home.

You have to give it to the third division, anyone can beat anybody in this league!!

Everytime you lose a point whether it be through a draw or loss you(Simon BSML HEAD MODERATOR) say "it was the worst performance ever", accept it, Lisnafillan aren't as good as you think they are...they're just an ordinary team.

I have said this once before, any team in the third division can beat anyone else!! No matter how ordinary/good they are!

Exactly Pele no team is outstanding in this league the top 6 or so can beat each other easily and the bottom half of the league are never easily beat either, alweays come up with a few suprises at times!!

The facts are we have been terrible against Glenarm and Waveney away in the 4 games we've played them in the past 2 seasons. I think our achievements speak for themselves aiken TBH. You seem to forgetting the whipping we handed out to your Glenarm side at the end of last season. In fact we beat you twice down here. Seems like you guys are getting a bit big for your boots.

You also seem to have forgotten that we beat a full strength Penarol side only about a month ago. Pretty ordinary.
Like its been said anyone can beat anyone in our division. At the end of the day there aren't too many great players in our league so I think we're all pretty ordinary TBH and that includes your great self.

aiken doesnt play 4 the rovers, he got a football scholarship in america a few years ago and is livin out there (which prob makes him a bit better than the average "ordinary" sat mornin league 3rd div player). Plus just cos u beat penarol in a friendly doesnt make u a great team, it was a friendly so i doubt it meant that much 2 them! Also wot r these great achievements u talk about...winnin the sammy moore trophy and wot else exactly?!!

How's it going Bo? Don't want to put words in Simon's mouth (he can talk for himself ), but I'm sure that by "achievements", he only means that we are proud as a team to have progressed as we have. Simon was one of the first players to turn up at our trials only a couple of years ago so he has seen our improvement. We don't have the history of most of the teams in the league, including yourselves, but we are fortunate enough to have won a trophy. I know you maybe don't hold the Sammy Moore in much regard, but I was extremely proud of our team the night we won it. Also I'm sure you'll agree that although this is the 3rd division there are also a lot of good players. Don't want to give any of ours a big head by naming names, but you guys have big Cyril McCosh, the Aitken bros., and Monty to name a few that I know. Waveney have a great wee midfielder who could definitely play higher league (scored a great individual goal against us), Blackstone have McClay (excellent keeper) and Alex Fleck, and Westend have Davey Currie and Marcus Hanford. That's just the tip of the iceberg (sorry for those I missed, but every team in our division has some good players). I have to agree with Pele too, anyone can beat anyone in this division. It's the closest competition of the three divisions and probably the most difficult to get out of! Hopefully we'll be there or thereabouts come the end of the season, but one thing is for sure, we'll be thankful for whatever we achieve. All the best for the rest of the season (and look out your thermals cause that pitch of your's is Baltic at the best of times, God knows what it's like now! ;D)

And the Yanks know what exactly about football or should I say Soccer? I know someone who has been to America in a similar situation. But if you were that good why go there where they couldn't give a fiddlers about football. Why not sign for a good team over here and play were the game is loved so passionately.
Sorry not trying to belittle your achievements either ;-)

oh bo i think what you forget is that we have only been in the league for 3 seasons. so i think that would only leave us with the chance of winning the sammy moore twice and the league twice so i don't think that is that bad a record!!!! (and being realistic it would be fairly unusual for any third division side to win any of the other cups). Sure we can fight about it in class on monday cause it's not like we've got anything else to do for the 3 and a half hours! Maybe we will get on the computers this week but!! woohoo!

Dont want 2 here any of ur excuses mcquoid, face it...ur a poor team...if u were any gd u wud have been promoted by now!! Any team can win a cup, just look at liverpool last year but teams shud always b judged on their league position. Plus its a bit disappointin if u can raise ur game when playin a friendly with Penarol but fail 2 perform against teams like Glenarm and Waveney!!

Oh what are you saying? Are you saying that Glenarm and waveney are poor sides? Ok if you want to look at the league we are still 2nd so thats not bad! Not any team can win a cup the sammy moores not just a one off! I can't believe we are fighting on the forum when you sitting 3 feet behind me on another computer! Oh us uni students clearly have alot to do in class!

I no, its ridiculous tho at least it gives us some way of passin the time...has 2 b the most borin class ever!! No no, didnt say they were poor sides tho obviously u must have been able 2 play well against Penarol (1st div champions) so if u cant play well against Waveney/Glenarm has 2 b a motivational issue!!
