A much needed victory for Shore in a fiery match.
Shore took the lead after 5 minutes when Andy Hanna headed the ball in to the path of Sean Gillen who slid past the keeper with his first of the season. Shore doubled thier lead 10 minutes later when Chris McIntrye hit the bar from a 30 yard thunderbolt, the ball bounced(over?) on the line, and Andy Hanna made sure putting the defender and ball over the line. Shore then went into cruise control and took their foot off the pedal giving Woodside a few chances which Shore keeper Chris Wheatley dealt with.
In the second half Shore again didnt get out of 2nd gear until Andy Hanna released Sean Gillen in the box for his shot to be deflected for his 2nd goal and Shores 3rd. Woodside pulled a goal back when the Shore defence fell asleep at a free kick, however SHore always looked more likely to score with the Woodside keeper pulling off top class saves to deny Chris McIntyre twice, a Barry Graham header and a Willy Brown free-kick. Sean Gillen also hit the post in what should have been his hat-trick.
