In my view roy aiken is by far the best player to play for glenarm, matthew boyd is a great player but he only played for a few seasons while roy played all his days for the rovers. Not only do i think he was glenarms best player i think he is one of the best footballers to ever play in the BSML. and the best header of the ball i have ever seen.

yes that is roys son ( no 7 ) very good player hard to play against. gareth aiken is a great player too he went to the USA to do a soccer scholars**t. And there wee brother paul is another gem its great to watch him skin all the boys in training and him only 15. there is alot of young player ie i have been playing for 7 years and am 22 so now looked on as an old player ( bummer ). Cyril and Monty would be up the top but as haten sayed there is a number good players. would love to see big roy back he could still do it no bother but the knocks take longer to go away now as he would tell you himself.

Alrite the lads only getting logged on there now hows it going? not a bad web site hey! whats this i hear about best player of all time of course its roy of the rovers but i can remember many great players for the rovers lets see dodo, gareth aiken, gareth McCollum, cyril McCosh, matthew boyd, simon humpreys, victor haveron and of course lets not forget andy reid. There has been many great players down the years but roy aiken is every ones favourite and rightly so. P.S. I was only joking about Andy Reid.

Jonny "the dew" Robinson was the best ever player to grace the field in the colours of the mighty Rovers!!!

I think you have the two best central midfield players in Division 3 at present - big Cyril and the wee skilful fast git whose running off the ball is superb and has an eye for a goal. We chased shadows for 90 minutes against you earlier in the season.... but it was a good workout!
....hopefully it will be a different story this Saturday....

The best ever player has to come from the holy trinity of gareth aiken, gary montgomery and cyril mccosh.

pity you are talking about Rovers players only. Of Rovers players, McCosh or Aiken are up there but in my opinion Dodo was best alround. If it was a Glenarm best ever player, older readers would perhaps suggest Tony Hoey, Skippy McNeill, James McCollam, Kevin Bird or Paddy Morgan
