Best and worst demesne team of all time?

Ill kick it off lads with my best team. Im basing it on all the players ive played with since about 1996 or so. A team of 11 (cant be arsed doin subs too) and remember boys its only an opinion and im sure ive left a few boys out by mistake. here goes:

1.GK stevie royle (Great shot stopper)
2. D Paul Cameron (great in the tackle and read the game well, a classy defender)
3. D dougie stevenson (flamboyant defender, super fit and reads the game like a dream)
4. D the beast (built like a bodybuilder, great in the air, pace to spare, power, great up front to, the whole package)
5. D Darren Parker (a swan song for mr parker, but knows the game inside out and a super player.one word-class)
6. M peter stevenson (the guy is a robot, hes so fit its unreal the perfect midfield engine)
7. M james stevenson (another stevenson robot, these guys are insanely fit!, another great box to box player)
8. M stevie mellon (super quick, strong for his size, fantastic skills, on his day theres nobody better)
9. M ricky mellon (only remember him playing for us a few times but this guy is one heck of a player, dodgy knee or not, ricky isnt pulling out of any challenges, trust me!)
10.S Kenny Paul (not the best first touch in the world, but he gets in for his effectiveness, i havent seen anybody quicker on a local football pitch)
11.S Ryan Gregg (unbelievably skillful, great finisher and great vision, frog is a definite starter)

It was hard choosing the eleven ive had to leave out loads of boys who r quality players (u know who u r) but this was the eleven that came into my head at the time.

Does anyone remember the guy Michael Stone used to come down to training. He was from Antrim, big liverpool fan who was always with another guy. Dont think he was the loyalist graveyard killer. Anyways, heres a team of random boys that might jog a few memories.

1)Tanners mate with the glasses in nets.
2)Ricky the diabetic
3)Billy Cull
4)The mcmullan brothers.
5)Billy McDowell
6)Paul McKee

I always remember Robert McCabe and Andy Erwin coming to training without fail, and arthur totally shunned them every week. But its hard to fault McCleans man management.

Also remember one of my 1st games for Demense Billy McDowell scoring a 40 yard screamer against.... somebody!

Then a few games later, a dark day for Demesne when Billy and Arthur had a blazing row in the changing rooms at Ballykeel, and that was the last we ever seen of the big man.

Quality ratman! Simon was the name of the cove with the glasses i think.only remember him for his chain smoking before and after matches, which doesnt say to much for his goalkeeping skills.

Was that Ricky Mckay? an average enough player but rodney was the better player by a country mile.

Billy Cull! wot a legend, mitty was spot on, training was beneath Billy an absolute master of the volleyed clearance, if in doubt hoof it out. never forget the award do one year when billy was getting a special presentation for service to the club as he was retiring. He turned up a proud man, tache glistening like magnum pi only for arfur to start the speech with 'some boys realise there not good enough to play at a higher level' classic!

ill not get into the whole mcmullangate scandal im longwinded enough as it is, billy mcdowell was underrated in my opinion he was an absolute steam train when he got going and paul mckee was a talent wasted, wheres he at these days?

My lasting memory of mccabe was when he got smacked in the balls with the footy away to enkalon and he was down that long i thought his nuts had shot back up into his body while arfur just stood and watched as everybody played on around him.

I remember that day mitty, it brought shame on the club. To be fair billy didnt train and was at least two stone overweight, so perhaps he should have considered himself lucky to be on the bench. Cull was a legend, i remember that speech, it was a total dogging. Your a nobody billy, at least you realised you were s**te and settled for the third division of the bsml, but cheers for playing. Arthur should have let stevie mellon make the speech, cos hes a brilliant public speaker.

Id forgotten about that incident with mccabe, it was a freezing morning and he took a no dig in the balls. He just lay there, and eventually someone ran on with the water. Apparently hospitals are going to do away with casts, operations and painkillers, because water does the same job. Why do boys run on and pour water on injuries?? .

Based on the criteria above, i can't believe you've left the mighty Chris Thompson out of the best XI. He was a heck of a player in his day - strong, pacy and with a good engine. The Chris Thompson of 6-8 years ago would get into any demesne best XI. That's why it's such a shame what's happened to him in the intervening period. Have you seen the size of the guy! He's up there with Mark Burnside pace wise these days and fitness wise he can manage as few laps as Ratman (although at least Chris doesn't feign injury, just trails in when we're about to start the next exercise).
