Not sure what the weathers been like in Ballymena, hasnt been great up here but fingers crossed the pitch is playable on Saturday - considering it hasnt been touched since about October you would think it would be ok!! No doubt our ever reliable Secretary will keep us informed.  |

I believe we are! ;D No chance of this game being on as it hasn't stopped raining all week but i'll be on my knees tonight praying hard that it is miraculously on cos these boys are there for the taking! 3 points for the 'stone! C'mon the heatwave!  |

Very good Dave ;D I actually came from 2-0 down to beat him 3-2 last week, so i'm currently the undisputed champion.  Am substituing the snooker for some ten pin bowling tonight to put some of my fellow teamates in their place!  |

Went to pay for the pitch this morning and the showgrounds staff say the match is definitely off tomorrow. So you Westenders will have to wait to try and improve on your mid-table mediocrity against the high flying Blackstone |

Apologies - i should have contacted your secretary. I didn't do it as it was posted clearly on here and i thought enough of your boys were online to get the message across. Won't happen again boss. In my defence however, the game was scheduled for pitch 3 and as both yourselves and ourselves know, that particular pitch is only playable in July/August or in cases of extreme heat/sunshine. Now i'm not too sure where you've been for the last week, but as etk clearly pointed out above, it's done nothing but rain for about 7 days. I would have thought that it would therefore have been fairly reasonable to assume that with the host of 3rd level educated brains in your squad, that it would not be beyond the realms of possibility for you boys to conclude that it would be extremely unlikely for this game to be on. Anyway, as stated above, i'm very sorry and hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me for this travesty. I should've phoned him and am grateful that you contacted the showgrounds and spread the word round your boys who would've otherwise been standing outside the changing rooms of a very wet wakehurst at 9.30am on Saturday morning on their tod. Aye fair enough, it's amazing that your team didn't know the match was off, especially when you consider that David Currie posted a message saying so in the matches OFF thread on this forum on Friday. Aye but currie only knew cause i told him after ringin up the council. I had a fair idea it would be off which is why i rang the council in the first place! Oh and FIFA doesn't even nearly compare with pro evo!! |
