The Selection Committee should have no problem picking a team for Saturday - put quite simply anyone who wore a yellow bib at training last night should automatically start. Reds hang your head in shame!! Not great that 2 out of the 3 selection committee were in the red team!! ;D

Yeah boys three points is a must on Saturday. I'm feeling pretty gutted cause at the minute I rate my chances of being involved as less than 50:50. I'm sure that will open up some room for those members of the selection committee who were wearing red to give themselves a starting place!
Seriously though if we want to push for that second automatic spot then we have to win this game. If I haven't recovered from being suplexed onto my hip then I can guarantee I'll be on the sidelines cheering on the Rovers

I think i speak for all the Blackstone squad when i say get well soon Finlardo, oh and lets hope there isnt too many goalkicks on Saturday!! Game has been given a rubbish pitch - a disgrace in my view since its 2nd playing 3rd!! but it may be its called off anyway so you might get your chance!! Everybody "when the ball hits the goal its not Rob or Deano its Finlardo!" Get well soon son!

What pitch is it on lads? I'm working 12 hour night shift on Friday night 7pm - 7am, followed by 12 hour night shift on Saturday (same hours) So I'm not sure yet whether I'll be able to play myself. Would probably mean getting no more than 4/5 hourse sleep between 12 hour night shifts. I can imagine what condition I'd be in.

Simon - i hate to break this to you matey but if you're working till 7am on Sat morning then you sure as hell won't get 4-5 hours sleep before the game! 10.15 kick off, so even if you lived next door to your work (it's possible) you could only get a max of 3hrs 15mins. That's also assuming your work and therefore your house are next door to wakehurst and that you wear your football kit to work and then to bed so that you don't need any time to change before kick off. All that said, even with 3 hrs 15mins sleep, you'll prob be of no use to your team and really oughtta sit this one out... I guess you'll be joining Finlardo for the rain dance!

lol I should have been more clear. 2 hours sleep before the match. 3 hours sleep from 3pm - 6pm before going back into work.
I've played many times over the past couple of years coming off a night shift but they were 8 hour night shifts. I'm sure I could play the game no bother but its the state I'd be in on Saturday night working for 12 hours I don't like the thought of. If we have sufficient numbers I'll likely opt to stay in bed.
I am surprised with the pitch choice. Very poor and I don't think it will suit either team TBH.

Well I was unavailable for the game due to injury so that rules me out of training, but I think it would be a good idea as I know fitness levels will have dropped over Christmas

f**k i was really looking forward to this game!!
I'd be very much up for astroturf in antrim tomorrow.
Numbers shouln't be a problem as nearly everyone was available for the game.
I think past experience has shown that if we don't organise a proper training session on a saturday about 6 people turn up and it's s**tt.

Past experience has also shown that when we have an unofficial training session some members of the squad turn up still pissed!
Sadly I'm currently off the sauce though
