Right kids as the mighty Blackstone Rovers are soon going to be a force to be reckoned with on the Ballymena Saturday Morning Football League stage its only right and proper that we are as professional as possible. The public demand for information on us is ever increasing and i am going to take it upon myself to quench their thirst for Blackstone knowledge by attempting to set up a website for us boys. Ive already made contact with Pavel who runs this forum, he seems like a bit of a computer whizkid and general all round good lad and come the 13th June when his exams are over he's going to hook me up with the required knowledge i need to get this thing started. So if any of you boys have any suggestions [proper ones!] as to what you would want on it, layout etc or even better if youve any idea as to how we go about doing it let me know cause i know jack all about computers!! Come on the Rovers, a kit, a kit bag, a resigning secretary, a committee, a sponsor and maybe even a website!! Malcolm Glazers going to be putting a bid in for us soon!!

mc clay get in touch with bogle, he's keen to make a web site 2 and i think he is a comp whiz so im sure he'l be able to rustle something up, but your input can only be inspiring so get involved!!

Glazer has been on at me all day trying to buy my shares but i'm not budging! Blackstone plc kinda has a nice ring to it! Yep, Bogle is the man you need, if we give him the info, he'll whip up a superb website. He may even have some spare time on his hands if the Beeb layoffs come to fruition! We'll pay you handsomely though Bogle after a couple of fund-raisers!  |

Will hopefully have something up by the end of June. Need to appoint a PR Officer to email through Match reports etc. for the coming season etc. and player profiles.
Did young Finlay ever get the club logo designed? and if so does he have it on disk?

Yep, Finlay is our PR man and will take charge of match reports etc i think.
I know the logo is sorted for the shirts but not sure if he has it on disk, i'm sure he can get on disk without too many probs though, so it's all good!

Right well im up for doing player profiles etc, can we get photos and stuff for the website as well? Maybe a team one for the homepage and then individual player profiles photographs, want it to look as professional as possible. Blackstonerovers.com sounds like the way forward as opposed to brovers.uttl.http.etc etc etc, but thats just my opinion!

A .com is only £5 a year,...so you should definitly go down that path...although if you want a free address go to www.dot.tk and they will give you a .tk address. The .com is more professional though. Actually I'm going to start a wee guide to making a website in the Online section,...some basic pointers and then when the exams are over I'll go into more detail. |

I have registered the domain name www.blackstonerovers.co.ukInitially I am going to redirect this to some personal web space I have and then once the site is up and running we can look into get it hosted properly. right lads. Basic site design done and uploaded. Open to suggestions on layout/design etc. Please suggest what ever links you think we need on the left hand menu. I just stuck a few in as an example. im liking the design bogle - its all good, im glad i left you to it!! I have some stuff typed up, history and a few player profiles that i'll hopefully get emailed to you, as regards Pavel's suggestions - the 'honours' link wont be needed for quite some time!!

Yes it is a glorious piece of literature by the poetic genius that is Hands..... but why celebrate our narrow defeat with Ballykeel when our 3-3 draw against them isn't mentioned? What about the other six 3-3 draws? Our first season review makes it sound like we won five games and lost the rest - the truth is we had seven beautiful draws methinks.

I wasnt involved in the 3-3 against Ballykeel so i didnt even know about it!! Apologies!! The history wasnt supposed to be a report on all of our games last season so you boys can just dry your eyes!! I love my Rovers!!

I have to say Bogle is an absolute legend, im loving this website more and more each time i go on it!! and now it has photos!! Superb!! Love the team photo too sondooler, although you'll note there's perfect symettrey with 8 players at the back, then three on each side of our wonderful goalie, everyone in black apart from me and HARRIS in this bright red t-shirt!! Someone give that man a black top for next time!
