The last time we played these boys we were beaten two nil at the beginning of the season, although i was away on holiday at the time and cant comment on what sort of side they are. One thing i do know is that this will be a very hard game on saturday with both teams in with a shout at winning the leaue, not forgetting to mention the Reds and Riverdale of course. This is a game we will be at full strengh for bar myself. In recent weeks we have shored up the midfield again with Alan Mc Burney back from injury and young Mark Mc Kay back playing for a few weeks, having starred so well for Ballymena U'16's and now progressed to the youth team this year. Big Kenny Wright is also back this week for the Keel in a must win game as normally his job as a butcher doesn't allow him to play on a saturday for us. The big man is probably the best striker in our division but just cant get off work but what a bonus to have him back for Galgorm.
Alot of the lads on this forum will have seen Galgorm in the flesh this year so your comments on what sort of side they are would be appreciated.
According to the Athletic thread there is a few fixture changes this week which if correct means all the teams in the top six play each other this weekend, making for a very interesting outcome to the league standings and who possibly could win it.

Firstly doc, our fixture has now been reverted back to Braid again.......long story however, having played Galgorm and taking a tanking in the second half against them my only point is they have experienced players playing for them. Michael McCartney and the two centre halves, albeit not as fast as they once were but have the brains to read the game. They will play football. If you can expose the two centre halves with your pace you will score goals. They have a bit of pace up front as well so big rusty is going to have to work his legs for a change instead of his mouth ;D Good luck for Saturday

Thats about it Bremner mate..two experienced Centre Halfs and one good forward who is big Boydy. They've also got Gracey in Centre Mid Doc who not bad but if you'se stick one of your hardest tackling players on him he wont want to be at the game.
Good Luck anyhow.

How do you think your Pitch will hold out as it gives Rain tomorrow aswell? Would there be a chance it would be off or is it not that bad?

We hardly ever have a game called off at the Keel unless the pitch is fozen etc. You'll probably see our game being the only one played this weekend if the weather keeps getting worse.

Are you'se at full strength on Saturday? pitches at the waveny are a mud bath when it rains too much. were at full strengh for saturday bar myself and with big Kenny back for the game there will be no excuses thrown up if we don't get a result as everyone is fit and raring to go.

When does the Mid-week games start anyway mate?? Ballykeel are lucky to have a player like you who likes sitting in the midfield to protect the back 4. Our two centre midfielders like to go walk arounds up the field so most the time aye have to track back and cover for them.

would love it if we actually get a game this week in what promises to be a very tight match. Chances tho are pretty slim as rain is forecast all week but we'll see what happens.
