Just to inform you all that Karl is stepping down as manager of the Swifts, and I am taking over.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks Karl has done a super job in 3 seasons, in sometimes very difficult circumstances. And I'm sure his decision to step down wasn't taken lightly.

I dont think he has received the credit he deserves.

I am looking forward to the challenge I have to say, and keen to see if any of the players will stay to see what changes I bring.

I have a number of players lined up to come in, and hopefully a few will stay leaving us with a decent squad to start the season!

Firstly congratulations Pughole on your appointment. Will be interested to see how many TFC players you will sign cause I remember the slagging you gave me when a few Massereene players signed for me.

Bumner, I won't be signing any TFC players, unless they ask to sign, in which case I will tell them to inform Jason and Bloo of their intentions, before a form will be offered I've been with the club too long and think too much of them to try and steel their players. Also, Templepatricks players are very loyal, and wont be lured away easily, it would cost me at least a 5er per player ;D ;D ;D ;D

Starting to loook forward to the season. Been a while from I was at the helm, so I'm looking forward to it big time.

Are u gonna play or just manage mate? Some of the problems last year came from Karl doing too much on his own. You'll need a good assistant manager if your thinking about playing aswell.

Mate to be honest I haven't really thought about it. I don't plan to do everything myself. Players I know well and know will stay with me will be given roles withing the club.

I think Karl done everything, and did it well for such a long time. After all, the success he brought (obviously with the players help) to the club speaks for itself.

I know what you mean mate regarding playing and managing from the pitch. Its not an easy combo, as Cussy from Westend has found out this season. However its something I have already done at Templepatrick. having said that, I think having someone on the sideline is almost a must, so its something I'll be thinking about.

It may not be easy, but I'm going to give this thing my best shot. The first season will be crucial, dare I say it.

I wont be on here talking dribble about us beating this team, and beating that team. I know every game will be tough, and I expect it to be.

Only thing I'd like, is a cup match against Templepatrick, regardless of the result. Great bunch of lads and club I think the world of, bit like yourself and the Swifts. It would be nice to lock horns with them, so to speak.

Havnt really had a chance to speak to Karl but is he gonna continue to play and perhaps help out or has he jacked it in altogether? Glad someone has taken it over(a bit suprised it was u though) as i wouldnt have liked the club to fold. Yes, some players have gone, but if you are to get about 5 or 6 quality players in i can see you holding ur own in the second next season. Leaving Masserene was extremely tough for me but after a few weeks with Athletic i realised that i had made the right move - it was like a breath of fresh air for me. Maybe its the same with u mate and i'm sure the new challenge will be good for you. All the best

Karl has handed the reigns over completely mate. He has his own reasons and plans. None of which are my business to say.

I'm a bit surprised myself about the whole thing to, but ready for what the season brings.

I'm hoping this has the same affect on me that you talked about. Whilst I love Templepatrick, I always felt like I wanted to do more than I could.

Was a bit surprised to hear that Karl walked away from this as i know he loved the club through thick and thin................however i know the big lug reads these boards so karl...best of luck mate with whatever you do next season.
