Massereene Swifts have been given the all clear to use the Muckamore Community Centre for training.
Last night was our first night down, which was a good nights training.
Circuits, followed by a bit of indoor football.
This is a super place to have training, and will be ideal for all those winter months.
A step in the right direction for us

We actually used MCC ourselves a few years ago Ally, I guess it does the job, but very small and what I really hated about it was that week in, week out a few of the lads kept getting injuries from our kick-a-bout at the end of training! But at least you got somewhere sorted for the winter, we have nothing yet (except Thursday night Astro-turf) so you's have done well.

I heard at the weekend from Giler that you boys used to use it. Was it only the one season yous used it?
Its a good enough job. Small sized court, although with 4 a side its fine. We played 3 teams of 4 after circuits last thursday night, and it worked well.
Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Some crack int he 4 a sides, with one goal scored and your off. Some teams hadn't even kicked the ball and they were off again ;D
I hear yous say, Massereene scoring goals, yes, yes we can!
Big shout out to Marrsy in the Michelin goal, his blunder seen me score a goal from about 3 yards on saturday. Bounced just before him, and after a bit of fumbling it went in. Not the prettiest of goals by any means, I didn't even want it ;D

Lectar, despite me having to travel from Lisburn on a tues and thursday, everyone lives quite close to the community centre, so convenience is there as you say.
Appart from Paul Alerdice having to travel from Ballyclare, no-one else has that far to go.
Despite that I feel that there are some players who could and should be making training a little more often.
Half the team could walk there ;D ;D ;D

Fantastic workout last night for those that attended. Circuits were tough, but the bleep test after was worse ;D ;D Special mentions must go to:- Wes Mcfarland - Bleep Test Winner - With Level 20! 'The Moore' - Who finished on level 19! Jason Hemphill who was as close, and myself ;D ;D who got to level 17 Everyone working very hard and also managing to enjoy the night. Been very impressed with the attitudes lads. Keep it up
