Cloughmills Thistle 1-1 Connor Rangers
A very cold and wet morning down in Armoy saw Rangers only coming home with a point. The pitch was bloody terrible but im not going to blame that for our performance. Cloughmills started the game better having Rangers pushed right back into there own half from the word go. They had all the chances throughout the first period until 5mins from half time Rangers was awarded a Penalty which once again Sammy Steele calmly slotted home to give Rangers the 1-0 lead going into half time. The second half saw Rangers miss a bag full of chances from Chrissy Clail, Eddie Reid, Ally Logan, Paul McGovern and the best from Mervyn Crawford who hammered the ball high over the cross bar from 8yrds out. Well they paid for all there missed chances when the Cloughmills striker broke through one on one with the keeper and buried it into the back of the net.
It should of been 3 points back home to Kells.
