Abbeyview v Connor Rangers ( 22-08-05)

Well what can aye say about this game apart from it was a jammy but turned out 2 be a cracker of a goal which give Abbeyview all 3 points. The 1st Half was a very tight one with not many chances though Abbeyview took the lead about 20mins into the game but were disappointed when Rangers hit back 10mins later with a goal from Mervyn Crawford. It stayed that way until Half Time. The 2nd Half saw alot of chances falling to both sides although most of them fell to the Antrim side and they also saw a Penalty saved by the Rangers keeper Bobby Mitchell. With around 10mins remaining the ball fell to an Abbeyview player whos back was turned away from goal about 20/25 yards out and hit it very sweet too see it fly into the top corner (jammy). Rangers battled 2 the end and had a few chances 2 get at least a Point.

It was a good tight game indeed. We've not had to much luck at scoring from the penalty spot so far this season. Thats the second we've missed.

What did you think of the ref???

The ref was terrible m8. He could of let the advantages go quite a few times and he blew for the sillyest things. Did you play any part last nite??
