Yes mate, this should be a cracking encounter once again just like last seasons Carlsberg Cup match, as with all local derby games, form and league position usually counts for nothing in these battles although saying that, there is'nt much between the two sides in the league so far this season.
A few wee bits of harmless banter about the game was exchanged when taking over training from FC Antrim last night and overall I can see a hard but fair game in store.
Almost a fully fit squad to choose from so a good chance to bounce back from our poor result against Ballykeel a fortnight ago.
Other news... A very big welcome to the pending return of Stephen Nicholl from FC Moylena and Roy Robinson from the Sky Blues to the 'View'. I believe the transfers will go through next meeting all being well. Two excellent players returning after a few seasons away to bolster the squad for the season.

Thats two great signings. Have played in teams with both these guys and both are top top players. Have to admit, the View are looking very impressive this year, should set you in good steed for promotion...............2nd behind RAFC....lol

Big Davy, I would be happy for us to finish second behind Athletic, that would mean auto promotion! So many play-off final nightmares this last few years, I think we would gladly take that!

second 4-2 defeat on the bounce for the view, not alot to say on this one. We simply did not compete in the second half after a good first. Abbeyview goals came from Cocky and Rab. Very very disappointing to lose our second derby this season.
Very disapointed with the referee today. He made a point of apologising to our manager for his perfrmance last week against ballykeel only to be twice as bad yesterday.

our passing was very poor on Saturday, miss wee Perkys engine in midfield, two new signings to give us alot more options and hopefully go to someway pluggin that gap.
