Well, I have been informed that we are guaranteed a referee for this game, thank God, i say!! Seven Towers have been very reluctant to play our last 2 games without one and it's dragging on a bit now. Two friendlies have been played instead, with the score being 3-0 home and 4-0 away to Abbeyview, and to be honest, even with a bad referee, and with all due respect to the Towers, I dont think the scorelines would have been any different.
We're finishing the season very strongly and against all odds three weeks ago, a play off place is even possible, so we'll give it our best, and I will predict McAuley Cup success for us, the hard way as usual, with an excellent final against holders Athletic.

3 - 2. Have to say if 7towers had taken half of their first half chances the View would probably be out of this cup today, but lady luck was on our side. Seven tower fought back well and we looked rocky until Jackie Burrows came on and steadied things up at the back before Davie McWilliams scored his second and Abbeyviews 3rd to take the View through.

Phew! Thought I was gonna have to eat my previous words for a while yesterday. To be fair, Seven Towers worked very hard today, coming back from 2-0 down and wasted a few good chances early in the game to go ahead. A late winner for the View was very hard on the Towers and I dont think we would have had much to complain about had the scoreline had been 3-2 to our visitors. So were still there, and a quarter final against North End awaits. Also travel to the Towers for a McAuley Cup tie on Wednesday night, which I'm sure should be a close enough game too.

think ur first comments a bit harsh musampa...u have to rem that both these games were friendlies, harder to get motivated etc etc. when there is something real to play for it is always different. as for sats match i think we did very well to come back and if we had taken our chances we would still be in this competition..when we lost our keeper it was always going to be difficult for us but an encouraging performance none the less and gives us heart for wed nite which if is the one we really want to win.
