Abbeyview 3 - 2 Newington
A relatively good performance to seal a victory in the last friendly before the league starts. We took the lead in the first half through a fantastic goal from our right back who volleyed the ball home from 18 yards.
At half time we made a couple of changes and with only a few minutes gone in the half 15 year old Gary Brown calmly slotted the ball away from just inside the 18 yard box with his first touch. It was the same guy who scored the 3rd from a very similar position.
Newington pulled a couple of goals back (1 from our centre half getting caught with the ball!!!) but the view held on to secure a good victory.
