Its time to get the camels out again for the long trek to carnlough. Always a tough place to grind out a result and i already know that two of our usual back four will be missing this one!! We beat Glencloy in one of the cups last season and we will be hoping for a similar result this time around although past results will count for little in this one!!

Yes Jeff, spot on mate, a very hard game and we will have to be on our game start to finish to come away with the points at Glencloy. I'm away with the GAWA in Denmark this weekend along with defensive partner Scott Magee but I'm confident the boys can keep this great form going and secure the win. Like last weekend, I think this game will be physical but fair. Best of luck to the boys.

Yeah they are a strong side and will battle all the way.
We got the camel ride out of the way already as we've already played them. ;D
Who's going to fill in at the back then?

Chris, I think the back four will be: Graham Mitchell - Paul Dunlop/Jackie Todd - Jackie Burrows - Alan Donnelly. Dont bank on that selection mate as Jim might have other ideas. The Dunlop/Burrows partnership in the middle could work well against a tough Glencloy side, and although I'm happy to be going to Denmark, I've been really enjoying this season and if the result goes our way, may have to settle for a place on the bench next game, but I guess a win for the team is the most important thing. Good luck against Penarol mate, no reason why you guys cant take another major scalp this weekend.

Glencly Swifts 1 - 3 Abbeyview
the 'view' ran out 3-1 winners in a very hard fought game. Glencloy took the lead after some good build up play after about 20 mins. however this was somewhat against the run of play with abbeyview having the best of the early exchanges and missing some good chances. Abbeyview got back on level terms soon after when Giff chased what seemed a lost cause and forced a mistacke from the keeper. Shortly after he was causing havoc again and the big glencloy centre half was lucky to stay on the pitch after hauling Giff down when he was clean through. however the score remained 1-1 untill the break.
Glencloy came steaming out of the blocks for the second half and put Abbeyview firmly on the back foot and this is how it remained for most of the second half. In a rare attack the ball fell to Alan Donnelly who let fly with a great left foot effot from all of 30 yards which flew past the goal keeper to give the 'view' the lead. Glencloy didnt lie down and pressed for an equaliser alllowing abbeyview to steal a third with minutes remaining through young steky brown.
Dispite having all the play in the second half the swifts struggled to create chances and the view back four (and cheeser who replaced the injured alan donnelly) held firm in a marvellous defensive display led by man of the match Jackie Burrows.
All in all this was a great team performance from the view who dug deep to grind out a massive three points.

Outstanding result for the 'View' and an excellent away victory against a side who will take points off a lot of teams at home this season. Very special mention to 'Man of the Match' Jackie Burrows, on his full debut who's experience came through with a first class display at the back, and Alan Gifford, in only his second game for the 'View' who again caused havoc in the ranks of the opposition defence and scored again. Well done lads, lets keep it going, very tough league again this season, but we deserve to be where we are at in the table.

A very good win indeed. However top of the shop only means that teams will try a bit harder to beat you. ;D Well done by the way

Mate our past 2 games have been much better, but we're still miles off. Steady improvement is what I'm after. Injuries picked up recently are going to hamper the settled squad we've had over these games, so it remains to be seen how we go from here. Where theres a will theres a way though, and our effort has been super
