Another extremely tough away match against a team flying high and difficult to beat.

Galgorm 2 v 1 Abbeyview We were cheated!!!! Overall a very tight game but we controlled the first half and should have had the game wrapped up if it wasn't for the ref. We scored the only goal of the half but had one dissallowed for off side even though the ball was played back to our striker to score. Then Galgorm should have had a couple of men sent off for professional fouls. Andy Robinson was hauled down by the waist and could have went on to score. Also their right back kicked out after the ball had gone only fo rthe ref to show a yellow. He was an absolute disgrace and even Galgorm acknowledged they were lucky to get away with what they did. Galgorm won the game in the last 2 minutes through a header. they drew level early in the second half with a good 40 yard lob of our goal keeper who was on the edge of his 18 yard box after just clearing the ball. The gme was played in good spirit by both teams but its a pity we had a crap ref.

Watched this game as a neutral Weeman and I agree with you that you should have had the game wrapped up by half time, you were the far better side. Don't agree about 2 players being sent off, the one where your player was through and was hauled down, there was definitely covering defenders, the other one possibly could have been a sending off.
Thought you played some great stuff in the 1st half and overall a draw would have been a fair result. Good luck for your last couple of matches, still a good chance of making the play offs.

glad to hear some neutral feed back. However when our striker was hauled down the Galgorm back 4 were playing extremely flat. Big dessie was the last man and the only reason there looked as if there was cover was the fact that he had his hands around our strikers waist that allowed the other defenders to look close. If the foul was not committed then it was a sure one on one with the keeper. He should have got sent off.
The other decision was by the book. He lashed out which is a red card. The ref was booking our players for asking him questions. He was pure pish and was as bad when we played yourselves.
I would agree that overall a draw would have been fair. Whilst there was only a slight wind it did add a good advantage when playing with it.

As i said in the other thread i was at the game as a neutral to. I only seen the second half and view definately had a penalty in the last few minutes. I can't comment on the 1st half but view were every bit as good in the second half as Galgorm. It was a hell of a strike from Brian Neill for the equaliser but they only come off one in 100. View very hard done by.

Just like to add. Ant time we have played or I haved watched the view I have been impressed by the big fella who played up front on sat and dropped into midfield when Jim cam off late on. Hell of a good first touch and a good passer of the ball.

What about the guy in our box that caught the ball above his head in the first half? ???Honestly that ref is by far the worst ever, but believe it or not this is not the worst he has been reffin us.
