Abbeyview 3 v 1 Braid
A very tight match but it was Abbeyview who took the lead after 10 minutes when a ball was swung deep into the back post for Andy Robinson to head home from 6 inches. Braid were gifted their goal on the half hour when the view keeper Keith Fearson failed to clear a back pass. Actually he put his foot on the ball and fell over it to give the Braid striker an open goal.
Two quick goals mid way through the second half killed the game. Andy Robinson got his second and Gary Brown added the view's third after Andy Robinson's attempted lob was tipped onto the bar by the Braid keeper to allow Gary Brown to tap in.
The view defence held on with mentions going to Davy McWilliams and Jackie Todd for good performances.
