I believe that this is our next fixture, but i'm not 100% sure. If somebody can confirm it for me, please do. I'd like to think that we can get a result here against our neighbours, but it wont be easy. We havent exactly set the pace ourselves this season, although we've been better the last two games. I'm expecting a very hard game from the Swifts, as all derby games usually are, and a HOME GAME at last!!!!!!! We've a great home record, so I think we'll start as favourites for this game.

yeah, I think you should get a result against these guys. Let carson use his pace up front and he'll score a couple.
As for the home record, I think it's over a year now since the view lost a league game at home. Impressive I must admit. ;D

Abbeyview 8 Massereene Swifts 0
The 'View', fielding a strong side settled quickly and dominated from the start, playing some neat passes and moves despite the miserable wet conditions at the forum. First half goals came from Rab Murdoch (Hat-trick), Andy Robinson and Graham Mitchell's first goal of the season for Abbeyview. Swifts best chance of the half found Dee Thompson unmarked at the back post after two View defenders went for the same ball, but he managed to fire his shot wide of the goal and the score remained 5-0 to the interval. The second half saw the 'View' bring on Jackie Todd, Stephen Brown and Stuart Warren, with all three getting involved in the action early. The Abbeyview defence determined to keep a clean sheet for the first time this season coped comfortably well with the odd Swifts counter attack, particularly young centre-back Glenn Duncan who was outstanding all night in the tricky conditions. A few great saves by the young Swifts keeper has to be mentioned as despite the scoreline, he actually had a great game even saving a spot kick early in the game. Further goals from Ryan Carson (2) and Andy Robinson rounded off a good night for the 'View'. Good luck to Ally and the boys at Massereene for the rest of the season, we've been there ourselves before and I hope you can turn things around soon.
