Abbeyview 2 v 1 Steadfast
A good hard fought 3 points today. The game was tight right from the start but we went 1 up after about 20 minutes when Andy Robinson put a great ball into the box for Gary Brown to run onto and score. The second goal came from Wes how broke the offside trap before chipping the diving keeper. To be honest we should have had a couple of more goals as chances fell to both Gaz and Andy but they could not hit the target. Steadfast did miss a penalty in the first half.....good old Sandy
Steadfast pulled one back after about 15 minutes of the half when a route one kick out was allowed to bounce, their forward ran on to it and nodded it over our advancing keeper. Again we had chance to kill the game but their keeper made a couple of good saves to deny Andy Robinson.
Another good 3 points in the bag. ;D Onwards and upwards.
