Hard fought win again today against abbeyview.

We started off with the strong wind behind our backs, and after a scrappy first 10 minutes I thought we started to control the game, had a couple half chances before we took the lead from a sexy penalty after he was brutally assaulted in the box by Harald Schumacher, who quicky managed to pull out a 20 quid note to slip to Anto the ref in exchange for just a yellow ;D we had a couple of other half chances and in fairness to Jeff he pulled off a great save from Sexy as well. Both teams were reduced to 10 men before the half.

2nd half Abbeyview played alot better, they coped better with the 10 men than we did and with the wind behind them looked more dangerous. We had a great chance to kill the game when we broke well and somehow big Burny found himself the furthest player upfield one of one but Schumachher came out and blocked well. View got back into the game when they scored after a mistake at the back. Sexy got the winner late on from another penalty after mcquitty was tripped in the box and we held on well after.

Semi final to look forward to now on Tuesday against carniny.

Cheers Jeff, as I said youse dominated the second half, wind behind ye's helped as it helped us first half, youse coped playing with 10 men better than us (though youse should have been down to 9 ;D , but in the first half the game should have been dead and buried.

Aye he's a former member on here Davytfc I think he calls himself a real tfc diehard calls himself the nutmeg king lol. I was lucky to stay on after the first penalty anto said there was a covering defender but im not so sure lol but the rest were fair challenges. The one were your player hurt himself he actually came over the ball and could have wrecked me iv the marks to prove it lol! think anto could have booked both players but when he sent Alan off your player had to go as well was a shame cuz there hadn't been a bad challenge in the game up until that point but was just one of those things!
