With five league match's left 3 at home and 2 away is it realistic to think the Sky Blue's can bring the 1st div championship home to Randalstown for the 1st time ever and prove without a shadow of a doubt they are the best Sky Blue team ever!! My own view is they will not be far away and I hope and pray they can do it . There team is so strong in all departments and most of them are at a young age which mean's the team will only get better . All I can say to them is forget about so called higher league and go on and become a even greater team than yous are now!!

a few important games to win first, but i feel the blues can.
they have the points in the bag and no team is gonig to go the rest of the season undeafted.

we can do it , i think 5 wins are needed though and its gona be really tough. need a full team out every week.
as for higher league and the banter thats already going about, my aims for that are realistically starting from pre-season although i can ensure sky blues will not be forgotten about

If Carniny hit a bad patch and lose a few games, then aye honestly think you'se will walk away with the 1st Division Title.

Its going to be tough but with good recent results the team is full of confidence and will not be far away. carniny have the games in hand just like last year and hopefully they finish the same position behind sky blues.

I hope this is the year to lift "the holy grail" as the team is in a great position, but its been there before and ended up runners-up twice. Back in 91/92 season Pld 26 W21 D2 L3 PTS65 and also in 95/96 we were PLD26 W20 D3 L3 PTS63. So hopefully it can be done and the current team can emulate the best team of the 90's. Fingers crossed for you guys.

It really is a deep down jealousy towards the Sky Blue's and the Reds .It must be really sicken to him that all 3 teams in Randalstown do get on well but still hold a great rivalry towards each other. Remarks like his does not help the image of Randalstown Athletic 1 little bit. |

Bit harsh James. Give us even a little bit of credit for turning our season round and getting to the top of the league just like lots of people including myself give athletic the credit for ur improvements of late

I think everyone is again over reacting. I have had a lot worse comments said about Athletic and my players. I think people are being just a wee bit sensitive because its James and everyone is getting uptight......but weather you like it or not and unlike some people you get it straight from him. Secondly Brian, nothing has been mentioned about the Reds so don't think you have to mention that. As for the image of Athletic, I think that our image has been transformed and will continue to devolve but a comment affecting our image.......common big lad, keep it real. Alex, you know my stance on the issue so I don't need to say anymore. |

well this is a sky blues bit here talking about us winning the league which i think we can do we are playing really well the team is getting on well and were all enjoying it so sorry but there is only 1 team in randalstown worth supporting at the minute and i thinkwith everybodys support behind us we can do it

Please don't come on and try to defend the indefensible our great we club must have done something to James for him to come out with such bitter remarks ,just a plain don't think we will win it would have been fine ,but the statement he has made beggars believe and makes me wonder why he had to come out with it at all ,especially taking into consideration all the other posts which have been made previous to it. Maybe hes starting to feel the pressure if maybe theres a small chance that our great wee club can pull off what would have to be a remarkable achievement. From my point of view I think yous have a chance although it wont be easy to reach the playoffs which would also be a remarkable achievement for yourselves considering like ourselves the poor start yous had and for which I wish yous well and good luck. |

i cant quite work out wot it is i have to be jealous about, o thats right absolutely nothing ;D, jealous of two teams that have been in existence for the best part of thirty years and only have one league title between them hardly a reason to be jealous i would think. strange reaction to my last post given some of the posts on the athletic page on this forum from current sky blues players and officials. i dont do arse licking Alex i hear its a bit prevalent at the blues tho

Because I have no problem with anyone else at Athletic so therefore I don't knock them .But when someone talks nonsense about our great wee club I take it personally.I think you know I have made the effort but someone just keeps trying to stir it But all I will say you are a good judge of people with little to offer and no doubt you will weed out the dead wood in time , but just watch your back.
