Everyone else is having a go, so here I go : I have been playing in the BSML since I was 16, so a lot of memories and a few different clubs (yes, some have folded before you mention it Lenny/Pele) Central Blues/Rockmount - my first start in the BSML, it was a pleasure working with Paul Barr and the legend that is Billy Mcilwaine. High points beating Carniny 2-0 on the showgrounds big pitch in a final (John Sloan scoring a diving header). Low point the club folding. Funniest moment, playing Penerol at the Waveney and the great Shermourinho was playing for us. He was on the left wing, attacking and he went to pick up the ball, he shouted "what did you say ref??" the Penerol defender stopped and looked around.... Sherman ran on Cloughmills FC - great run and successful side by Patsy Smyth. High points playing Ahoghill Thistle in Ballymoney, 2 down and lost a contact, so could only see outa 1 eye, got the ball and rattled it into the bottom corner (by a current forum user) from 30 yrds (probably if I could see if woulda landed in Portrush) with 5-10 left to play, we ended up scoring in the final minute to make it 2-2!! Saints Old Boys (always be my club) - so many high points, scoring my first goal against Enkalon after coming on, from a BFP throw (better than Doakers ), scoring my last goal, again coming on as a sub with a minute to go V Carniny to make it 2-2 (you could hear a pin drop). Winning two cup finals as captain at the end of the year against Holywell and Glencloy, will always be special to me for personal reasons. Finally "that day in May 2012", the day we won the league title for the first time will also be remembered. I have had the privilege to play along side greats like John Sloan, Timmy Connolly, Mark Johnston, Paul Gillan, Alec Watt, Aidan O'Kane, Hudsy (kills me to say that), Paul McCann list goes on!! The BSML is a special league and big credited needs to go out to Monte for keeping it all going!! (Let the abuse from Pele/BFP/Hudsy begin!!)

i dont have too many memories from the BSML as up until 2 seasons ago work commitments meant i was only available every other week so normally lost out to boys who could be there every week. highlights would include being involved with 7 Towers and winning the Sammy Moore, ended up back in the Social club to all hours, think a few boys were still going til the tuesday! Best goal i ever scored was a volley from a cleared corner against woodside at wakehurst from 30 yards into the top c. however those who were there will also tell you i tried another one about 15 minutes later and nearly put a window in at the phoenix! In all honesty if it wasnt for the BSML my life would consist of work, tv and maybe the odd bit of indoor footie from time to time but alot of thanks must go to monty for keeping things going for so long.

Some good moments here scoring 9 in a league game few years back was a highlight for me personally, not easy done, and getting top goal scorer 1st div that year also, but I have honestly have had a lot of memorable and successful moments with the Homers and every trophy feels good!! Junior shield turned out a farce last year wouldve been a nice moment had we won it !! There's a wee medal missing from my cabinet though which a few of use now have, so hopefully my most memorable moment is yet to come

another great day for me after talking to big bro melvyn last night about old times , was the day the great carniny team i starred in played a great castletown team at the 2nd pitch at chimney corner . at this stage these were without a doubt two of the best teams to play in the bsml in the last 30 yrs , anyone would vouch for that .....however being down 1-0 to a micky wilson goal , at half time goeff blair ripped the s**t out of us , henry spence got tore in hardcore , joe o hara was having a f**kin heart attack shouting as loud as loud can be , sherman would you fukin wake up ye lazy b*****d , dobby any fukin chance , rab wright youv done f**k all , colin stewart yer blaming everyone else fukin do something was the cries from goeff , henry and joe .......with marching orders to respond too i was lucky enough to score a brilliant hat trick , one , i took the ball down the left wing cut in and shot into the high right hand corner wallop 1-1, two , a well earned penalty when i beat 2 men only to be brought down by the keeper , i sank it high , keeper had no chance 2-1 , and to finish off this fantastic football day in the life and times of the special one , 3, i got a free kick 25yds out , i set the ball down and told the keeper where i was putting it , high into the top left hand corner , and of course without fail , wallop 3-1 . like a bullet into the net . was bought pints all day long in the coach and horses , what a day , just ask melvyn , he still has it in his seasonal jotters .
