Positives from first half .. We were only 3 nil down! As shocking as we were first half, (and we were shocking) Newpark played really well and all honestly If anybody had watched the first half they would have thought we were the third division team. After the expected half time bollocksing, we started off well and for a goal back from a leroy penalty, got a quick 2nd with an unbelievable finish from Rubberdome from at least 3 yards out  at that stage I expected us to go on and win ... That hope lasted 10 seconds as Newpark went right up the pitch from kick off and scored. We dominated from then on and actually played pretty well, we had a few half chances and couple pen shouts but Newpark defended brilliantly, some proper old skool defending throwing themselves at everything. Fair doo's to those lads, they deserved the win today, for us, in my opinion maybe it shows today we rely too much on a few players who weren't there today, either that or wee just totally underestimated them. Anyway good luck to Newpark for the rest of the season and hopefully we put it right next week. |

No doubt the highlight of the game was leroy getting hit by the ball square on the balls not once, nor twice but three times in a 20 minute period of the game yesterday. It's as close ive seen to a grown man crying on a footy pitch!
