First friendly today and we ran out 3-2 winners against Rasharkin.
Was always going to be a tough one against a good established intermediate side and with us missing 5 first team regulars.
A great effort by everyone, we created alot and were solid at the back.
Good to see big Toast getting on the scoresheet, if we can get a few stone of Rossy he'll be like a new signing too.

Absolutely delighted with the performance, work rate and result yesterday. Think Rasharkin finished 4th last season so its a great result for us considerin it was our first pre season game and the players we were missin! In sayin that its only pre season and we'll not get carried away!
Alot of positives to take from it, John was quality up top and took his goal really well, lookin forward to seein alot more from him as the season goes on!
Trainin has been super so far and hopefully a couple more weeks and a couple more matches and we'll be raring to go!

Big things expected this season now lads! Would be a heck of achievement to finish fourth with our smallish squad. Hopefully a few new faces will be able to push us on from last season. |

We were missing kyle, Byers, Jordie, Kerr, eggy, husty on Saturday.
Also a few still out injured. Only had 12 players on Saturday.
On paper I say we have a big squad. But then again most teams do at this stage of the season. It may be a different story when we get into October/November.

Pre-Season preperations continue tonight with a friendly away to Templepatrick.
Played these boys last pre-season and from memory it was a 3-3 draw.
Looking forward to it.

Good workout for both teams last night. We didn't create anywhere near enough, same problem as last year really, and something we need to work on. Templepatrick put in a good shift, work hard for each other, think they will do well in the 3rd. Good luck for the season lads.
