Another defeat but an unbelievable shift from the lads tonight, especially considering the circumstances and the players available.
Missing decky and Tully from the last game plus crilly still unavailable. Also another player was a no show, meant Bobby Carson had to start and Davy Brown was our only sub.
Carniny took the lead from a dick reid penalty, which I thought looked pretty harsh
We equalised soon after from a good Fusco header. Carniny put us under alot of pressure but back 4 were superb and Sean pulled off a couple great saves.
10 mins into second half we were down to ten men with bobby getting 2 yellows. Was always gonna be tough with 10 men and Think it was Mott who scored a good winner after good work from big J Robinson. Carniny probably could have scored a couple more late on as we tried to push up a bit.
Everybody was good tonight, back 4 especially and it was probably the best ive seen mcquitty play up front even without having getting any goalscoring chances, top class.
For Carniny I thought Dick Reid was near enough unplayable, beast of a man.
Nice wee break for a couple weeks now.
