Another good 3 points today but were made to work for it by Rovers.
Although we still worked hard It was probably our poorest display since the end of last season and in truth although Rovers didn't create too much they maybe deserved a draw out of it as we didnt create too much either.
First half we took the lead from a good crilly header from a corner.
This could cause of a bit of a debate but rovers were a man down early in second half when Lee magill/Magee? Was sent off after an altercation with Crilly. We doubled the lead when Declan McGuikan scored a one on one after a slip up from Junior. Rovers got a goal back when a bit of sloppiness at the back let them back into the game but we defended the last 10 mins pretty comfortably.
With playing homers and saints in first 4 games of the season we probably would have been happy at taken 6 points from 12 so can't complain.
Good luck to rovers, they are a strong outfit plus seemed to be missing a few lads today too.

I thought both teams were poor today and Bomba-keeper, Crumie -cb,Jaime-cm, Dale Gorden-lb and Jonny Richmond rw mark mcclintock cm all missing we knew it was gonna be a battle.We had 3 subs pulled in who were all hurt and havent played a game this season 1 cant even do pre season.I couldnt even get stripped and was for starting to :-( feckin ankle..Lee Magill was sent off after a player pushed his head into his and did the natural reaction of pushing him away with his hands on his chest start of 2nd half.Thought the red was a bit harsh.With 10 men and a weak team its annoying knowing full strength we are a totally different side but holidays and injuries have hit us bad like lots of teams.Thought we could of got a draw but another game we need to pick ourselfs up from and hopefully every one back soon and have a settled squad .Goodluck mich :-)
