Think its fair to say we haven't got off to the best start this season.
Big improvement needed tonight against Dunloy if we are to pick up our first points of the season.

Clough Rangers 7- 0 Dunloy
Much improved performance tonight with some great football played at times, had an early scare when the Dunloy cb hit a great freekick off the wordwork. We were in control for much of the match after that and only for some shoddy finishing could have been more.
Goalscorers. Byers 2 Jordy 2 Moore McCloy Eddie

fair result i must say...played the first half...fecking wrecked... clough played some good stuff at times but we were embarassingly understrength...morning and afternoon teams missing 15 people due to hurling training. texts sent out to them all to show comitment or the teams short future in div 1 will be over... disgusted with our players not showing but fair play to clough...decent bunch of lads and a deserved win...all the best

Their own choice or pressure put on them by their clubs?

Their own choice or pressure put on them by their clubs? definitly pressure put on them by their own clubs mate...its championship time in hurling, the time of year all hurling and gaelic football villages and clubs wait for.....the lads are always threatened with being dropped from the squad if they are seen or known of to kick a football match..... its always gonna be like that. They want to play footie but are terrified of being dropped from the hurling panel...only 2 out of the 11 that started against michelin were there against clough

If that is the case then they should only sign players who can put the football 1st. The manager needs to build a squad of players who are committed to the team. It's like signing 20 of a squad knowing that 10 will get injured half way through the season.
These bhoys should be told to pick either way or sling their hook, site the GAA games are shi!e anyway!!!!!!!

Tend to agree David how do the committed lads feel when they end up on the bench cuz the superstars have decided to turn up ??
