I am sure you were all aware that the Forum was put on hold for the last couple of days.
This was at the request of Proboards who had issues with some posts on certain threads.
After discussions via email with Proboards they are happy for us to reopen the Forum but we are on a warning.
You all may think this is funny, but I can assure you that it is not.
I would like to point out to everyone that you, yourself are responsible for what is posted. Your posts can be used as evidence and in extreme cases, prosecution can take place if your comments breach certain laws. The same laws used for Twitter and Facebook. I am here just to pass on your IP address, email and any other information on your account. IP address can be traced back to you directly.
This is a football forum for the Ballymena Saturday Morning League. It also allows us to have discussions and debates about other football matters. I do accept that sometimes other issues are raised and I am happy for them to be discussed as long as they don’t go over the top.
I am also fully aware that this plot of land in the North of Ireland has had political and religious issues for hundreds of years so I do accept that people have been brought up in different ways and taught different traditions. I respect that and so should you.
Going forward there will be changes for new members to join the Forum. They will not be able to join unless I accept their application. If I accept the application then they will be on probation for 2 weeks and every post viewed. The point of this is that any person who gets banned cannot create an alias to log on unless I authorise it. So if you do get banned, its just not that easy to get back on.
The head mods and I are here to make sure the Forum runs as smooth as possible. Sometimes members will get upset and annoyed at certain banter. If the head mods and I feel that it’s an unacceptable post then we will act on that. I also accept that sometimes the head mods and I make mistakes but someone has to make decisions. One thing that we will no longer tolerate whatsoever is sectarian or religious based posts. A life ban will occur without any discussion or debate.
Finally, I would ask all members to be very careful to what you post. Have some banter, a bit of craic, or tell us about your team. Just enjoy the Forum for what it is, we’re not EPL we’re BSML.. ;D
