I'd like to hear from any past players from Athletic and Sky Blues/ Reds in relation to this fixture....also anybody who played with Willie at youth level in and around the Bmena area/leagues......its 10quid a man with a great nites craic/bbq/raffle and disco to raise awareness in our community of the great work that the MacMillan Nurses do !!!!

Had the misfortune to see first hand the work that these nurses do. Obviously I mean misfortune for being in a position to require their services due to the terminal health of a loved one.
These people are incredible. The ladies I met were part of a team who were very short staffed and had to do extra shifts just to provide a wonderful service.
I'm a civil servant, basically sitting on my hole all day, and if my boss walked in and said we were a few staff short and I'd have to stay longer etc, I'd freak and as I say, I'm just sitting on me hole. The folk at McMillen are coming to the homes of people dying, trying to make them comfortable and having to witness the pain and suffering of the families. I know the ladies who came to the aid of my loved one felt a genuine pain in our suffering too and both cried real tears when the inevitable happened.
They are fantastic people doing great work, at times under ridiculous pressure and in a job that constantly pulls at the heart strings. I really can't speak highly enough of them.
Great cause Quiggggs, lots of respect to all involved here!!

I never had the chance to have 1 so close In my time fish....foster green for me...so to have a unit so close,with the best people ans so well trained is,to say the least a god send to those most effected !! We only do the small things in life..and that's by putting our hands up and raising awareness.....spread the word !! I'll stick you in Sky Blue if you can grow into it ;D |
