Disappointed to drop 3 points from this tonight Think on the balance of play a draw would've been a fair result but Thistle took their chance and a half and we didnt take our half chances. Thistle started off the better team and took the lead and yer big man (Daniel Brown?) cut inside and hit one from the edge of the box, bounced right in front of me and in the net, very savable shot . Thistle continued to press and had a couple other half chances which they put over. We started to come into the game a bit more but didnt create too many chances. 2nd half we started of the better team and pressed basically the whole half. Had a couple half chances again but Goram saved well with his feet every time. We were playing ok but not really getting anywhere. Brought Fish on and gave us a wee spark starting to link up the play, created a few more half chances but think every chance we had was saved by Gorams size 20 feet Mo scored the second goal from a break away to kill the game. As I said I think we probably deserved a point from the game but if we give away silly goals and dont take our half chances then we cant argue too much. In saying that I thought the back 4 for Thisle were superb, Goram too. Under alot of pressure in 2nd half but dealt with it well. Got to mention I thought Brian Patterson was shocking tonight. I dont what the lads watching or even the Thistle lads think but I thought the tackle on me was a straight red, if I hadnt my leg off the ground it wouldve been snapped in two ( he apologised after saying it wasnt intentional and Ill take his word on it so fair enough) Even taking away a possible yellow card for an awful dive he then went into a tackle with big Burnside with a 2 footed tackle which we got a free kick for but no 2nd yellow. At 1-0 and down to 10 men with their best played being sent off its wouldve been a game changer In saying that he's a hell of a footballer, bascially has everything and will be a massive loss to Thistle if/when he goes. Best player in 2nd division by a mile. Going to be a hell of battle between Thistle, Westend and St Comgalls for 2nd place

Mitty I missed that tackle as I wasnt there but I thought it was a straight red too. And there probably could and should have been a few more. Dirty Ahoghill kicking their way to the land of milk and honey

At the game last night myself, Thistle were def the better side first half and had alot of half chances from good build up play.... First goal was a boo boo from our own Mitty but the best bit was when he got up he started looking at a spot on the grass as if he or the ball had taken a bump ;D ;D classic ;D Second half it was all Michelin although Thistle defended well i just thought Michelin lacked quality balls to the strikers and imo Wiggys was missed in the middle of the park although thought he was superb at the back, just a great footballer all round. If Mr Fish had been sent on sooner the gamble might of paid off as he was def creating problems, dropping off and taking men on and i did think it was only a matter of time before Michelin scored then the Thistle scored a well taken goal on the break that sealed the game.... cue the Jose celebrations from Jose Duck ;D On Graceys tackle imo it was a straight red especially in the context of the game last night but him being booked before well the decision was a complete cop out from Patterson, Im sure Michelin were pissed as it was at an important time of the game but these things happen. Gracey is a smashing player but imo he didt have a good game last night, never stopped batteling as you expect but def seen him play alot better. Also im yet to see anybody in any league in the bsml be the ''best by a country mile'' and i have a few years experiance

I said a mile Pele, not a country mile In all the games Ive seen this season Gracey is the best player weve played against by quite a bit. Remember Ive seen alot more 2nd division game than you this season

This is going to sound like a rant....and it is. Last night was only one of a number of extremely poor decisions that Michelin have been on the receiving end of recently. In the game against Inter Allstars, the Fishster was hacked down in similar fashion as last night and then a couple of weeks later Tully had digs thrown at him. Christ me, these decisions weren't even contentious in the slightest. Not to produce a red but not even a feckin' yellow either. Bizarre...but I suppose this is the BSML.
