Lads from wat ive seen this year the league is carninys to lose, cant see them dropping to many points along the way and if they got over the seaming fear they show against the homers the will walk the league as i feel the homers are a ageing team with a very shaky defence and will struggle against the likes broadway and all saints who can match them pysically and can also play and the saints have maybe already dropped to many points imo...
Opinions plz!!!!!!

I think the league will go to the wire this season as it has already been proved asob/carniny and homers have beaten each other already in cups.
Agree with Dowie about coming down to the big games and whoever keeps the bottle and stays lucky way injuries will take the beating.
The one thing i believe that makes it more interesting this season is that most teams outside the top 4 have improved and can take points of the big boys.

Watched the homers from the sideline on saturday and tbh they dont look as good as ive seen them previous years espc. at the back they look very shaky with wylie past it and with mcdowell not always available, where as carniny are solid from 1 to 11.... carniny by 7 points followed by homers, all saints and broadway!!!!!!!

Good topic for a change Clown I said at the start of the season that I thought All Saints were the best team that we played and nothing else since has changed my mind! They are what Carniney have had in terms of pace and fitness but I just think they have the power n hardness you'd expect from a team like the Homers! But its wile hard to say at this stage as the pile up of midweek fixtures come the end of season will tell its tale. Or the fixture list come the sharp end of the table from the "league"

Just feel the homers have to many ageing legs in there team and that could tell a tale come the end of the season when games will come thick and fast, chick is a massive loss to the saints and carniny being out of both junior comps, dobie will have them going flat out to win another title and there squad has the knowhow to win which will also be a factor in my eyes!!!!!!

You may be right Clown about Carniney and their focus mate but I'd never rule out the Homers! They are 1 mean f**kin team when it comes to playing at home and seem to "gain" an advantage with the refs And away from home they just sit back and suck you in while hitting you onda break! Good mix mate

no doubt about it, Carniny are the bench mark that everyone has to get to, can someone do it this season? im not so sure, quality right through thier team, and through their bench, a manager that knows what it takes to win leagues, even when they arent at the top of their game they still grind out results, but I have to disagree with you clown, homers are defo not an aged team, quality team and will push Carniny all the way. As Dowie said earlier on, it will be decided with results against each other. Will we be able to push them aswell? we will give it our best shot, but we seem to drop silly points here and there which Carniny and Homers dont do, plus the 4 points dropped already are going to be hard to peg back. Roll on May til the picture becomes clearer. Have to also disagree with Carew, Carniny defo wont win the league by at least ten points, there will be very few points in it this season.

Anyone can beat anyone that's why it's so exciting. No matter who's at home or away there wil be plenty of points lost, loads of games to be played yet... Let the games begin I can't wait to get back to playin to fook!!

BFP this has to be your best shot at it yet mate! And tbf your derby games arnt goina be against teams that I reckon are goina take points off you where as Carniney V Homers still has to come! Goina be a last week scenario I'd say

Goina be a last week scenario I'd say did u not see the game we had against broadway nino?? the league this year is definitely going to one of the most exciting, middle of january and 3 teams still unbeaten in the league!! Carniny definitely are the team to beat still as they have players who have been over the course so to speak so many times!! Homers seem to have got the bit between their teeth this year and are working reallly hard to win things this coupled with the talent in the squad they have makes them even more of a danger this year!! as for ourselves we have put ourselves in a good position, but with the lose of 2 big players in chick and owen o'kane our squad has taken a hit, this coupled with the 4 points we have already dropped means we need others to do us favours which hasnt looked like happening!! if i was a bookie i would be pricing it up as such: Carniny 4/5 Homers Evs Saints 15/8

thats a hell of a price on Carniny jnr, If I was a betting man id certainly take that

thats s**t odds for saints who in there right mind would back them at 15/8.should be 6/1 easy :-)

Bit harsh do you not think Carew? We are currently the only domestically unbeaten team in the whole of the bsml, plus we haven't conceeded a single goal against any of the top 5 teams in division 1, looking at it that way, I'd say 15/8 is quite a handsome price. Though if you're willing to offer me 6's I would most definitely take some of that off you. We might not win the league, but at 6/1 I'd be a fool not to take it. Let's see you put your money where your mouth is, £100 at 6's?

And my point that homers are a ageing team is fair in my eyes, mcdowell, sootie, wylie, chimpy and a few others all well past the 30 ,mark and these lads are the back bone of the team and id be the 1st to say that mcdowell and sootie are still 2 of the best in bsml but when there playin 2/3 games a week cime april/may will they hold out???
