The day seemed to be a great success. enjoyed meeting and greeting some former legends.
Walters could play yet I reckon.
Hope there was a sizeable amount raised for a very worthwhile cause.

Aye pele he still has it lol! Wonder who he will be playing for in the masters this year. The day went really well and the dinner last night was a cracking night with a couple of notable speakers going down a treat. A lot of sore heads this morning I would say The legends certainly enjoyed it and so did the real heros, past and present members of the Armed Forces. Good to see a few faces from off here in attendance and all as you say harty for a crackin cause. So so humbling to see the smile on that lads face who lost both his legs and sight in one of his eyes. Hope you enjoyed your vip access that you blagged your way into mate lol

I he's mid 40's.
You want to see him on the ball Pele, as the old saying goes form is temporary, class is permanent.

i heard a disturbing rumour that amoruso n co were payed to come over n do this .if its true its not much of an aid ::)any truth in it I wouldnt think they got paid to play, though the way these events usually work is the organisers pay all expenses, flights, hotels, bar tabs, etc so id imagine thats what probably happened in this case.

Yeah expenses picked up but from what I hear the lads hardly needed athe bar tab as most were getting full by the generiosity of the fans

Who was singing at it? Donald Findlay? lol ;D No John Hartson. ;D Good Job. Mower mustve been in both marquees then ...........and the bar. Im that fat. Food in the tents and Crisps in the bar............ And rounded of the night with a rendition of build my gallows.....or whatever it is the song is called. ;D i heard a disturbing rumour that amoruso n co were payed to come over n do this .if its true its not much of an aid ::)any truth in it In these events, charity or not, these fellas dont do anything at a cost. They may play for free, but there expenses are covered by sponserships etc. The sponsers get to meet the players etc. Either way, reading a friends Bakebook page, it seemed a good day/night.

For footballers who maybe played back in the early 80's and are still doing those kinda of things then I can understand the expenses because they money they were getting in those days wouldbt have set you up for life. Think its David Webb, ex England and Man Utd midfielder who has to work as a postman now as the money he got at that time was'nt great.
