pre-season just started on saturday. good session to begin with but maybe a lack of last seasons players on show. i know a few players had other commitments. the few new signings look impressive in training. look forward to seeing them in matches. roll on the start of the seasons.
winners from the dinner: player of the year - rodney (kick it straight at the keeper) beggs players player - willie (get my hair finished soon) mcnabb clubman - albert (two foot pervert) hagan top scorer - kenny (im the best keeper at the waveney) wright
and finally.....
merit - darren (i kept the waveney up cause i scored the winner against broadway) wilson.

Impressive start to pre-season so far. 1st game last nite. clough afternoon team. everyone played really well. think it finish 5-3 to us. biggest pre-season squad ive seen at waveney. some great performances and missing few big players too. alot of competition for places.
would like to wish damien heaney a speedy recovery as he broke his wrist last nite after a run in with big fulton.

Gordy has not signed for Waveney as yet,Ciaran Lemon and Philip Alexander only 2 new faces to sign on dotted line as yet '2 good signings' Willie McNabb looks to be only player leaving from last season, big man disappointed to lose McNabb too but as his famous saying goes 'show must go on'.Colin Corry coming back in there too be massive boost for club too.
Cecil puts alot of work into pre-season and with pitches hard to come across you have to get games when you can Pele. As for play-off spot i know he be happy enough not to be fighting relegation again. League table doesn't lie and everyone involved at club knows how disappointing last season was so be trying their best to put in rite.
Waveney Jinx started again this year, get better soon Damian!

Where is young McNabb away to?
Ah right, Yeah the council should have one pitch open for the pre season games.

Couple of clubs have asked him to come down to train with them-Wakehurst-Homers. He has been at all Waveney's pre-season so far so maybe Cecil can convince him to stay, great player who i think would benefit under his guidance and try the step up next year,if that's what you call it obviously as was his 1st year back in footy last year!

He's big mates with a few wakehurst players so Id assume thats where he'll go. Fair chance he'll get in squad every week too.
