Its not very often you need it, would slow the game down too much imo

it would only be used in major decisions generally inside the box, or if the ref missed a player lash out at another player etc, not offside's, that would be ridiculous... weedo on the lush..? it wouldnt slow the game down at all, a 5th official in a room with replay technology with a head-set that could let the ref know... within 10-15 secs you would have the answer.. players roll about and waste more time than that on a pitch!

because it would improve the game. its already proved that it has improved other sports, and when you see decisions being made that are crazy, with the money involved, reputations and careers on the line, why not use technology? should we always be stuck in the dark ages?

I'm against video technology. i believe that errors made by referees are part and parcel. footballers make errors, as do referees nobodies perfect.
I believe the contentious decisions make the game what it is.

Well it will definately be implemented eventually, its only a matter of time...
why are people against it out of curiosity? Apart from the obvious one that it will delay the game...

it might not delay the game tho rich!the amount of times that the players protest for bout 10-15 seconds about the decision the issue can soon be resolved by the 5th assistant! sounds good to me! it could diminish cheating all together like FROGGY HENRY! ;D

yeah i know it wont delay the game at all mate, its others that think it will. a 5th assistant with a direct head-set link to the ref, and a kick ass tv monitor would sort the whole thing out!

I believe the contentious decisions make the game what it is. I have to agree with Ritchaldo and Jabba. The old attitude of "It's part of the game" and "These things swing in Round-a-bouts" regarding in-the-box incidents has never been acceptable, in my opinion. When everyone watching can see that a goal has clearly been scored for example but it doesn't count because the Ref didn't see it( : is frankly embarrassing for the sport. A challenge system similar to Tennis via Team Captains or Managers?? Maybe?? As for contentious decisions, it's not like they're currently exclusive to in-the-box incidents, so you contentious types can still have your fun.
