he knew what end of the ground he was running to, and he should of knew what kind of response he would have got. if that had of been an old firm match there would have been a riot ;D

Loved the celebration. No harm in it. The gooners were fooking firing bananas at him at the start of the game and singing the Spurs song
Adebayor,Adebayorrrrrrrrrrr, His dad washes elephants, his mothers a whoreeeeee
What you think he was going to do whne he scored. The mans only human. Most of us would have reacted that way. If it were me Id have had the fingers up an all.
As for the stamp, he should have got more. Thats no nice.

if im not mistaken 3 matches is for stamp and celebration punishment to be dished out later.
i think he will prob only get warning for celebration. i can understand why he celebrated like he did but i think it was the fact he ran WHOLE length of pitch before sliding in front of arsenal fans. first time ive ever seen that and he knew rightly wot he was at - it was not heat of moment. no real harm done in a celebration tho
BUT as for his assult in RVP if that was on the street ud get done for assult or GBH!!!!! def should have got at least 6 matches for cowardly dangerous stamp to someones head!!! if that was bsml game there would have been a mass riot!!!! madness.
but fear not us gooners will get the reject in the long grass - he will have an interesting 90 mins at the emirates that for sure. i pity city fans when he loses interest and u realise ur 24m has been wasted!!!!

Yes, the stamp on Van Persil was out of order, and the 3 match ban is fair enough, however, it was hardly any worse than your man Taylors leg-breaking (in a few places) assault on Eduardo was it now? I have had worse cuts shaving ffs! And besides, what about the initial tackle by Van Persil? Nothing said about that rash one eh?
So saying 6 matches and all that bollox is just a mixture of jealousy (from the gunners) and worry (from all the rest of the so called 'big four' supporters)
Give the man a break on the celebration though. Is there anything in the rules that state you cant celebrate a great goal anywhere ON the pitch? Yes, he did run a long way and straight to the Arsenal fans, but whats the difference in that and when a player scores away from home and puts the old 'shuush' gesture to the home fans, is that not the same?
C'mon, admit it, would you not be tempted to do the same, given all the emotion of just scoring a decisive goal against your old club who's fans ribbed you even when you were playing for them?
The big man has scored a goal a game, he will come back even hungrier after whatever ban is thrown at him and continue in the same form!
Looking down at Arsenal for the rest of the season! ;-)

I think when the intent to stamp on someones head is there, then anything can happen, and therefore he deserves the ban. Fair & luckily enough he didnt really hurt Van Persie, although it could have been alot worse. I didnt particularly think Van Persies tackle on him was that bad, ive seen them in the bsml, and its not a free-kick

i can tell u im not one bit jealous or scared of city!!!!!!!
why would u be jealous of a team assembled by shieks money rather than build up over seasons...and not too scared either as i know from experience when things get tough ade will be found wanting and his goals will dry up big style! arsenal will not be dropping out of the top 4 - on the record, fact, come back and slag me if we dont.com!!!!!!!!! yoop

UEFA are the ones that look like fools. he dived, end of the debate. he got done for cheating, fair enough. arsenal appeal because they think that was unfair and UEFA wilt to the big teams.
no one was surprised that he did, me inculded. it would never have changed the result, arsenal are far better than celtic and the player in question of the dive is a top notch player.
i call it karma. what comes around goes around.
