I just wanted to ask any of the players out there if they really want to go on.
Not everyone has played badly but generally we seem to be just going through the motions. The last few performances (morning and afternoon) have been chronic and there doesn't appear to be any real desire anymore. If there are reasons for that then share them.
One thing that deflates Arthur is if boys don't call him to let him know what's happening about training or matches etc. you may have gathered. That was an embarrassment on Saturday that we ended up with a squad of 12 in the afternoon. Especially when there was no morning game.

Rab, I was logging on this mornin to start a new inspirational post urging the boys on to a morale lifting cup-run from this Saturday. I am shocked and appalled at the thought of giving up. I signed to play AND train . Personally though, it's frustrating that I'm a newcomer yet I could almost name the players who'll be turning up on a Mon & Wed night. Also, total withdrawal from the competition at this stage prob isn't an option. Come May we should revive the debate - with our meagre resources competing in 2 leagues was always going to be a challenge. Now, about that cup run.....

If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ..........just a thought, keep going...

Shuffle - I was not suggesting for a moment that it was my decision to make whether we go on or not. I was simply questioning the desire of the players. There was 1 player from Saturday's starting XI at training on Monday.
I think we actually gave up a while ago but somehow we still keep managing to put a team out on a Saturday. I also struggle to know why a few who seem to be injured during the week are somehow always fit for a Saturday.

Have to say, cant see why Athur wants to stand in the rain to watch maybe 10 lads training if your lucky!, its about time we start to take things a bit more seriously, getting beat every week isn't much fun, although some don't seem bothered about this fact, a big bit of effort is needed for the team and maybe more importantly the guys like Rab and Arthur who put the effort and hassle in every week to keep the teams afloat....

Having played for Demesne for a short time a few years ago, it would be a great shame if the club folded. Although I can see the argument for one team as opposed to two. I still look out for their results and hope fortunes improve. Arthur is a man that any football club would be lucky to have.
Having formed a team in the Mid-Ulster league just this year, I would love to organise a friendly in the summer. Keep the faith lads.
