Templepatrick continued their magic wand of 'Fair Play', with a one off charity game to raise a few £s for Alan Jones, who recently suffered a substantial injury.
Disappointingly there was only 14 players who took to the field on this 'free week', to take part in the game, as we missed regulars who were off supporting Liverpool FC at Anfield, including Manager Jason Hutter, Captain John Carmichael, and Scotty Carnworth to name but a few.
The teams:
The Pink Ladies:
1. Willy Fluke
2. Elliot McCombe
3. Andy Kennedy
4. Gareth Anderson
5. Michael Surgeoner
6. Drew Miller
7. John Knox
Versus
The Wasps:
1. Aaron Giles
2. 192
3. Davy Moore (Yellow Card)
4. Fieldsy (Yellow Card)
5. Clint Miller
6. Graeme Carmichael
7. Andy Selfridge (yellow Card)
The Final Score was Wasps 8 v 7 Pinks
Referee's MOTM Nomination going to Drew Miller who was outstanding on the day, closely followed by Clint Miller who's passing and movement was brilliant.
It was the Pinks who bossed the first half, with the wasps letting them have too much possession. Referee AC feeling the need to book Elliot, and also Selfo early on.
Also Picking up 'blatant' bookings were Davy Moore, Fieldsy and Clint Miller
Referee Ally, received considerable and constant abuse for offside calls, which were blatantly offside.
Goals scored for the Wasps were by:
Aaron Giles (4) AFTER COMING OUT OF NETS!! ("Wasted In Nets")
Davy Moore (1) Fluke, Jammy, Near Disallowed, wick)
Andy Selfridge (3) Reminding Management He's There To Stay
Goals scored for the Pinks were by:
Gareth Anderson (1)
Andy Kennedy (1) Shot Made Look Good By Wicked Deflection lol)
Michael Surgeoner (1) Pen. After Being Emptied By Fieldsy.
Drew Miller (2)
John (Mr Offside) Knox (2)
Although the game was TFC v TFC it was played at a decent pace and was enjoyed by all that took part. It was played on the smaller of the pitches at the rear of the Forum which helped the smaller numbers.
All money lifted from the game, including £5 from Micky Steele, who although couldn't play, still came down to show his support, goes to young Jonesy, who i'm sure will be grateful, at this time of the year.
Credit to all players who did turn out. Once again showing that the club Templepatrick FC has players, not only that we can rely on, buy who actually give a s**t.
Great to see, and long may it continue
