Shore Wanderers 0-6 Connor Rangers
A game which everyone expected Connor Rangers to win and they surely did with a comfortable 6-0 win over 3rd Division opponents Shore. Rangers came out of the Changing Rooms all up for the game and with 2mins gone Gregory O'Neill and Ally Logan combined down the Right Hand side to get a Cross in which was met by Mervyn Crawford at the back post to put Rangers one up. Then with 15mins gone again Ally Logan was in the mix of the action and with a pin point ball into the box which was met by Chrissy Clail and headed home there 2nd. Rangers stepped it up another gear but couldn't convert there chances into goals so they were left going into the break with a 2 nil lead. The second half saw Shore come out All Guns Blazing but couldn't break through the Rangers defence. It took 15mins into the Second period before young Chrissy Clail snatched onto a through ball and calmly put it under the Keeper to make it Number three. Then with a short period of time after that one Mervyn Crawford spilt the Defence to comfortably score his 2nd of the game and Rangers Fourth. That done Rangers until there was 10mins left on the clock when Gregory O'Neill took a quick Free Kick to Sammy Steel who whipped in a cross which was met by Mervyn Crawford who snatched his Hat Trick! and was Substituted alongside Gregory O'Neill and Ally Logan. Then rangers centre half Sammy Steel camly tucked away his spot kick for Rangers sixth and his fourth of the season. Call in goal keeper Jason Trainor had a solid performance to keep Rangers first clean sheet of the season.
Good performance lads but should of been DOUBLE FIGURES.
