Last mid week game, and a well deserved victory over St Comgall's. Started with the same eleven from the previous win and within the first ten minutes could see that the confidence and hunger were there again! A close effort placed just wide from a Paul Craig shot on the edge of the box was a sign of things to come with pace, movement and passing a big part of the early build up. After some neat exchanging of passes Paul slid the ball through two defenders for Colin Corry to rush through and put the swifts 1-0 up. Two strikers were having a field day as St Comgalls played a high line and rushed through on numerous occasions, often to be called back for offside, maybe 1 out of the 10 opportunities were offside though, poor decisions by the ref! With 35 mins gone in the game Sofian 'Soul flame' Lamieche beat the offside and lobbed the on rushing goal keeper from 25 yards, Waveney 2-0 up at the break and deservedly so. In the second half st comgalls got more involved and started to put a bit more into the game, fortunately for us we kept it tight at the back to gain another 3 points and another clean sheet, everyone worked well and defended as a team, and when in posession attacked in numbers and could have and should have had a few more, not mentioning any name soulflame! Lol - On to the next one boys!!!

Geoff Tweed was the best player on the pitch lastnight, won everything at the back. Think it was him missed a sitter with a header from bout 4 yards in the 2nd half.

sounds like Geoff!! All 4 at the back were good and Big Rick was on form in nets too, plenty of help from the mid 4 also which is starting to help us! Geoffs guaranteed to miss a sitter at least once a game, no matter where he plays!!

St Comgalls keeper played like a sweeper for them lastnight, any balls that went through he just hoofed it.
