Tough game this wed nite ... early in season wave beat us in cup . so we will b hopin to make up for that day .
after yesdays awful display .......... no 1s place is safe

We were unlucky on sat missed far 2 many chances and with 5 mins to go our defence gets moved about and we concede a pen

Terrible performance from the Waveney last night. Confidence is low but need to show a little more heart than we did last night.
I was impressed by some of the Ahoghill players last night, big no9 up front never stopped all night. I wasnt impressed by some of the slabbering that was done though. I actually thought Thistle were a pretty quiet team and let their football do the talking, but they seemed to be getting involved and gurning about every decision the referee was making, whether it was a free kick, a throw in or an offside.
It was apparrent though that Thistle were very hungry last night, and wanted it more than the Waveney.
Good luck to Thistle for the rest of the season.

Pele10, I actually thought the ref was shocking last night. Got numerous decisions wrong. But it happens in all games, don't all teams get involved about refereeing decisions? The match could have easily have been 10 or 12, that's def the worst Waveney team I've seen in a long time. Good luck anyway, and hopefully you can stay up  |

Totally agree that teams get involved with the Referee - but last night I thought was a bit far. Maybe I have had too long of a break from playing after a few months, but I was actually surprised at how much shouting back at the Referee there was. I also agree though, that the Ref, Brian, didnt have a great game. He gave some bad decisions (against both teams). I thought he should have dealt with some of the challenges that were being put in our our keeper, but sure as Goram said "hes a big lad, he can handle it!" I honestly think that Thistle are a very good team and was impressed with their football played, and the pace at which it was played at. Very high tempo and will stand in sted with them when they go up next year. On paper, this is not the worst Waveney side, but I do think that last nights performance was bad.....very bad! Might be the kick up the arse we need!!! |
