Wasn't at the game today but the referee, no matter anyones opinion, deserves a pat on the back. We had a death in the family today, and Brian, who had been sitting with the person in question overnight in hospital for 3 nights in a row without sleep, got a phone call on his way to the game today, having just left coleraine hospital, to say the lady had died.
He knew it would have been hard to get someone to cover the game at this stage so carried as normal to the game & carried out his duties as he would have no matter what game it was.
We always question refs etc & how some of them are clueless, in it for ££££ etc but on this occasion the ref deserves credit on what was difficult circumstances

Very sorry to hear that. Actually thought Brian had a good game as it was't easy at times, although when we 2 up he did book three of our players ;D

Brian did well yesterday, in very tough circumstances. I think we prob gave him a hard time yesterday but thats always gonna happen in a game like that. Fair play Brian, well done.

Definitely a big fair play to Brian refereeing a game in those circumstances!! He took some stick from both sides yesterday too but did well to keep it under control!!

Well done Brian, must have very tough for him. Gotta say about Brian, he does frustrate the life out of me with some of his decisions, but after the game I always feel bad about the abuse I give him cause he seems like a very decent fella.
Forgot to say, well done ASOB, superb season and title within their grasp now. I know this has probably already been asked, but if homers beat Carniny through the week do ASOB win the league no matter what the result next Saturday.

As you say, it's so so tight still.

best post bar none fish! close the forum down now! On the match, i think we deserved our win, first 15 or so Homers were on top, i think it was McNeill who had a decent chance. We came into it more and once we scored i thought we defended brilliantly! Burnsides goal was a beauty and Telford showed the balls to stick away the pen when the pressure was well and truely on. that win is For the lads like Loughran, da prato, pat, lyness, chick etc who are all injured and have to watch. cheers for the sentiment lenny, i think that attitude sums up exactly what the saints are all about, the squad and not individuals - even if it took me a while to realise that! ;D. one more big effort!!!
