Junior cup or shield contenders too a year or 2 back til they got caught up in an ineligible player row & were banned. Fella I work with plays for them. His bro is the one who bags all their goals

Newtowne are definitely the best side i've came up against this season. Suprised that they haven't won it, a slim chance they still will.

Watched the first half of this today and newtowne looked the better side by quite a bit!! Big centre forward was a battering ram and caused race view all sorts of problems!! Good result for them to get the point though!!

Heard the centrebacks were caused all sorts of problems by a big battering ram of a centreforward
Also been told by somebody who plays in the North West Junior League (where Newtone played last year) that they pay their players a good wee wedge every match

Depends on the players they have, i here newtowne have a big handfull of centre forward who could cause all sorts of problems so they could do well. Dont no were i heard that but if i hear anymore info ill let u all no.

In honesty Rovers they'd be challenging for the title.
Saying that i think if the Carniny, Homers and Saints went into that league they'd be near the top challenging too.
IMO the Afternoon league is definitely harder.

did you not used to play in this league ronnie? whats your opinion on them now, which is stronger,better run etc??? the team we had in afternoon league was completely different to the team we had in the morning, we lost alot of good players going into the morning as they wanted to stay in the afternoon league... players like.. gareth dickey andy logan david cameron steven kelly etc imo all saints homers and carniny are just as good as raceview newtowne and brantwood...but overall i think the intermediate afternoon league is a harder league, as anyone can take points of each other. i think the bsml is better ran than the afternoon league though. |
